Why did I get banned?

I have been platinum since Season 3-5 and now all of a sudden I'm getting banned? I have played this game since Season 1 so I'm very disappointed with this random ban..

I admit yes I have not played any rank games for a while since the ONLY reason I even played ranked again was to keep my Platinum border, which I really didn't wanna lose.

I've recently been teaching my friend that is NEW to league how to play in a bots game so I don't ruin other peoples experience in a normal playing against a level 30 platinum player. So just because I plat bot games to HELP my friend I'm getting banned? That is the only reason I even played league this whole month in all honesty to teach my friend and now I'm getting banned for a suspicious MMR boost?

Guess I can't play bots with my friend anymore that I really love to be around. I appreciate it though Riot, I'll be taking my break now, take away my border, do what you want. I don't even care, I'm not quitting but I'm not paying another dollar on the game.

There's nothing wrong with playing bot games and helping a friend get into the game or teach them. This is something that we encourage.

After looking into the account further, I noticed an interesting occurrence. Not only was boosting provided on the account to reach Platinum this season, the account was also bought closely before the boosting happened. I have went forward with permanently locking this account.

AGAIN.. doesn't anyone else find it a little strange this is happening WAY TOO OFTEN TODAY?!

Ive seen like 4-5 posts like this though out the day. I think something might be wrong... You should sent in something to riot...

I think if so many people sent in tickets it might raise their attention to a potential problem.

you could send in a ticket, but i can guarantee the person on the other hand is going to give you an email that basically says "We're 100% right, you'e 100% wrong and you're not aloud to dispute it"

I'm sorry to be that guy, but I feel like that there's more to OP. It's just that whenever someone gets banned, or is threatened to be banned, they usually put on their innocent face and try to sweet talk out of the ban.

I can't really trust "banned" people as I don't have access to the technologies to check your account (as obviously I don't work for Riot) and see if the ban was reasonable or not.

And honestly, I feel that people who got banned are just trying for attention rather than actual justice.

Riot just doesn't want to hand out free stuff at the end of the season to everyone. they want you to pay for it next year when worlds comes around again..

although, sarcasm aside, this does seem to be an issue as of late. I'm kinda appalled that riot has not even responded on the topic of what counts as MMR boosting, how they detect it, etc.
