The Status of Snowball

I just played an ARAM match with a very interesting person. We were against a heavy engage team and after a few minutes in he began to complain about mark/dash. He said that it needs removed because of tanks, to which I replied that it lets a lot of champs be viable on howling abyss. His rebuttal "...tanks make it oppressive" and; my favorite, "So your saying that I should die because I failed to dodge a skill shot?" [zombie-brand-mindblown]

I realize that my view of this spell is a bit bias since I prefer to play the melee's that take advantage of this spell. So I want to start a discussion, what do you have to say about it?
