Creating an App that Allows Players to Walk Around While in Queue
In the United States obesity rates have been skyrocketing in the past 20 years. Some of this is due to the advancement of technology that keep people in a sedentary state and not exercising. League of Legends is a very fun game that many people sit down and can play for hours on end without stopping, but this isn't good for the body. Sedentary behavior can lead to elevated blood glucose levels, tightened hip flexors, slow metabolism, and many other negative effects that can make people at risk for diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease. If Riot makes an app that allows players to accept a queue pop on their phone, but not interact with champion select so that people are not able to practically play on their phone and then AFK for game, but allows them to get up and walk around for a few minutes in between games, and could potentially offer rewards for walking a certain amount in a day such as IP boosts. There have been studies done of office workers who sit at a computer and work all day and every 20 minutes they take a 2 minute walk and this led to decreased blood glucose levels, better metabolism, and other benefits. Some exercise is better than none and the more action people can take to get children to be a little more active can end up saving their lives later on.
