what happens now?
Now that the season is over for ranked.... what do we do 
I'm on the verge of being demoted from Silver V and I don't wanna loose anything I may have just gotten too

You can choose to do nothing and wait until season 5 for soft reset on ranked or you can try and get higher in ranked before the soft reset improving your odds of being placed higher for season 5.
Don't ask when season 5 starts because Riot hasn't put out a date yet last year preseason lasted until January though.
(if you get demoted now you keep your silver rewards)
You won't. They should give out rewards today and you'll be fine.
