Why was this only for the skin? I assumed it was a loading border like Smite does, so I wasted all my chaos tokens for nothing. There really needs to be more clarity on this so other people don't fall for this. I feel cheated.

Wasn't this obvious? When has League ever gave a border for every champion in the game?

Would be awesome, but won't happen I think.

i did the same.. and its sad 2 see riot cheat their fans like that.

it didnt say NOWHERE that u needed to buy the skin before getting the border.. just another sad way that riot wants to make more money... smh rito..

i was about to spend the 280 as well and wanted to see what the border looked like first so i googled it and came across this to find out my worries were true. that you have to have the skin for the border. I agree its bs. it should just have a default chaos border.

This was nothing new. They did it for the skins in the PROJECT series, the launch of Elementalist Lux, Conquer Karma... It was pretty clear, even stated in the Event FAQ that it was only for Riven/Yasuo's new skins.
