Placements just about ruined my week.

So, there I go, into my placement matchs all ready for season 5. Little bit of backstory: I only made bronze 2 at the end of season 4. Did a giant push for silver the day before the reset but after about 6 hours i went from bronze 1 to bronze 2. During the pre-season I actually did manage to get myself to silver 5 and then I quit playing ranked for awhile mainly because I was busy with school. So now I go into my placements expecting to hopefully get bronze 2 or bronze 1 if I'm lucky. 10 matches later and here I sit....in Bronze 4... Now half the reason for this is obviously my playing, it hasn't been on point as normal but that's also because I'm just so sick and tired of getting the intentional trolls in-game. Basically I'm on a month long tilt. But seriously though riot can something pleaaaase be done about these people I get matched with?

Here's some excerpts of the /sarcasm amazing players /endsarcasm that I've come across

Champ select: random person: Oh let me ADC guys I'm a really good ADC. I main it. (gave him benefit of the doubt) ingame: 23 minutes in this guy has 30 farm. The lane had barely been touched by their jungler, and their caitlin was not playing all to aggresive either. ends the game 2-10-??

2 games ago: guy playing yasuo into a veigar-- "Trust me guys I got this. I'm gonna squash this veigar" proceeds to basically feed the veigar. at 20 minutes in is 0-14. Does stupid stuff like: dives under turret while behind 3 levels, dives veigar while behind 3 levels and down ~100 CS, dives enemy team solo with noone to help.. etc. etc.

last and final placement game: (at this point I had given up hope of even getting a good team and resigned myself to the fact that I'd most likely be placed bronze 5) Mordekaiser mid, Teemo top. (they were a duo, Morde had a gold banner trim) So morde feeds a few early kills to the Cassiopiea on the enemy team, teemo and Morde decide to switch lanes. and thus begins a cycle of "lets feed the crap out of this cassie". They both ended going about 1-15. We surrendered because even though our ADC was doing pretty decent and I (junger) was doing not bad we couldnt touch them anymore. It basically became a 3v5 with us at a turret, CS, gold, dragon, inhib dis-advantage.

Please riot...can something be done about these types of people???? I'm so fed up with playing with them. Normally I can hold my own in lane and jungle but I've just been so upset with these matches lately that it has begun to negatively affect my gameplay. I'm just...done. so done..

bronze 4 is fairly easy to get out of if you are higher in skill and game knowledge. if you belong there, then it can be annoying I guess.

I couldn't for the life of me figure out why I was in silver every year, and then Season 4 came around and I got placed into Silver IV. I went 8-2 in my placements, I was BERSERK. But I persevered and took a week off, I played normal games and honed my mechanical skills on 10 champions, two for each role. (In order of how good I was at each) I played ADC: Jinx Lucian Mid: Leblanc Jayce Jg: Skarner Vi Top: MonkeyKing Renekton Supp: Thresh Leona

There's basically two ways out:

  1. Get significant mechanical skill gains and become the player that goes 20-0 as Akali every single game, be ruthless, exploit every single mistake an enemy makes, and regardless of what your allies do, support them the best you can in a push or in a fight, if you have to leave them to die to the enemy team because they overextended, do it. You're the smarter player. Make smart choices.
  2. Get a player who already has these skill levels to push you up to where you think you belong, and then go from there.

The first thing you need to know is that you aren't in bronze because people are keeping you there. You're in bronze because you haven't played enough games to pull yourself out. Your team has actually 20% less of a chance of having a toxic player like the ones you described than your enemy team does, and 40% less chance if you duo queue.

In Season 3 I played 53 games and ended Silver I, Season 2 I played 84 games and ended Silver II, Season 1 I played 37 games and ended 1356 (Equivalent to Silver V/Bronze I today). So Season 4 came around and I was determined to make it, I played 202 games and ended Plat IV. After being placed in Silver IV, I won 7 games back-to-back, and was able to skip Silver III and promoed to Silver II, then promoed to Silver I only having lost about 2 more games at this point. I only played Jinx, Jayce, and Vi at this point. 3 Champions I had very high mechanical prowess for. Less than 3 weeks into Season 4 and I got Gold V. I kept this 65% win ratio and skipped Gold IV and II, and sat in Gold I for almost 3 months trying to promo out. It took me less than 50 matches to climb from Silver IV to Gold I. It took me another 130 to get out of Gold I because of toxic players ruining my promotional series, but after 3 months I finally got 3 back-to-back games where I was just able to out play every single opponent, I took warding into my own hands, I ganked every lane and pushed nearly every turret, I learned how to shot call and that helped tremendously.

The thing that helped me most along the way was supporting my teammates anytime they did anything good. Someone lands a hook that opens a good fight or pick? COMPLIMENT THEM. THEY WILL TRY TO CONTINUE TO IMPRESS YOU. IT'S AWESOME. For me, I would outplay in mid and get a double kill first blood without dying, and my team would immediately sense that I'm high caliber, and so when they value/look up to you, and then you compliment their playing, they feel like they're as good as you, and they will try to continue proving it. It's an amazing part of human psychology, and that's how I got my plat border. That, and a shit ton of hard work.

TL;DR: Get better, be nicer, play more, have fun.

Welcome to hell my friend...... I duo'd w/ a friend for our 10 games and went 6-4 and doing extremely well in all but our last game with our losses being due to our team being too heavy for us to carry.

At the end of last season, he and I were bronze 2 and made it to our promos to get into silver just before the new season. after going 6-4 and as I said, going rather well, we both get B5. Needless to say, we were livid.

I honestly don't understand the placement system at all. While we didn't expect to get gold or some shit (we know we're not that good) we didn't expect to get put at the bottom where we climbed up from during the last half of season 4.

I find it absolutely insulting that riot has something like this put in place.

What exactly do you want Riot to do about unskilled players?
