Champion/Skin Sale Efficiency, the lack thereof

More of an idea as compared to a rant, as it's not a major issue. Just something I find irritating when I want to spend RP but don't want to spend a ludicrous amount. As follows:

Correspond skin sales with the champion sales, please. I'm much more likely and willing to buy a champion if I can also get a skin for her while it's on sale as well. I understand that reduces the price to a bundle and seriously cuts down on the revenue, but it still supplies the same amount of RP as a normal half-price champion/skin sale. It just makes that double-purchase more likely, as I'm encouraged to buy cosmetics for the champ I just unlocked immediately after I buy the champion him/herself.

"I really want to buy Irelia right now at this very moment, but if I buy her with RP, I won't have enough for Frostblade Irelia. I really wish I could buy BOTH of these items on sale (which would come to 1115 [440 + 675]). I'll probably spend 2 weeks saving up IP to buy Irelia, and then buy Frostblade Irelia at full price, essentially removing any sales that I had been waiting for and making me that much more in the hole. Thing is, if I spent 1115 RP as compared to the 1350 I was going to spend if I saved my IP, it's a sale that now has gone from a 50% price reduction to somewhere around a 10% price reduction, earning Riot more money and making me feel more rewarded for my money and for my time spent."

Summarization: [I have 1400 RP]

  1. I buy Irelia during her sale for 440 RP and no longer have enough for Frostblade Irelia. Pros - I unlock her immediately. Cons - Rito only gets 440 of my sweet RP.

  2. I buy Irelia with IP and buy the Frostblade skin at full price. Pros - Rito gets maximum RP. Cons - I spent an extra 2 weeks buying things and now I'm really in the hole money-wise and feeling like a garbage computer addict. Also I got no sales, which is sad.

3. [My idea] I buy Irelia at half price and Frostblade Irelia at half price. Pros - Rito compromises with me and gets a good deal of moolah and I get what I wanted in the first place. Cons - Rito gets 300 less RP. ;C

The problem with this is that it limits two skins from the same champion going on sale in a reasonable time frame. If Aviator Irelia goes on sale instead of Frostblade, you could be waiting upwards of 6 months to have the opportunity to get it on sale. With the current system, it's probable you'll have to wait that long anyway, but there's the chance that the skin you want will come soon.

Not a bad idea. I think I like this a lot tbh. When I unlock a champ I really like the idea of getting the skin too. Haha.
