So I just got a Spirit Guard Udyr shard, just wondering if i would still unlock the summoner icons and stuff if I used it. Thanks :D

Yes. Acquiring Ultimate skins by any means will grant you the bonuses (I got SGU through Hextech crafting and got them too).
