Aatrox needs love too!
It's not that I don't enjoy playing Aatrox right now, or that I think he is too weak a champion to play, or anything. This is more on a technicality concerning his q, dark flight. Buuuut, tossing in a couple skins would certainly make the champion more enjoyable! :)
I noticed that when I activate it, I'm in the air for a couple seconds before I dash. During that time that I'm in the air, I noticed that I'm still targetable and very vulnerable to enemy intervention. It's happened many times, especially top lane when I get ganked. When I use q to try and escape Vi dash, for instance, she can interrupt me, even though I'm still in the air and haven't even started charging down. This has happened multiple times. Why can she knock me back even though she is clearly hitting nothing but the air under me? Another example is when I was being chased by singed. I run over to baron so I can q over. I get to baron, I go towards the wall, I press q, Singed incoming. As you are well aware, Aatrox q takes a while before he starts charging down to cursor location. Aatrox flies up, clearly not on the ground anymore and far from anyone's reach. I start to charge down across the wall and into safety. Then, I fly back across the wall, and farther back behind Singed and into his allies. I've got plenty more to share, but I think I got my point across.
I know, I know, there are ways around this little issue; waiting for Vi to use dash before hitting q, run behind singed so he flings you forward, then q, whatever. Again, it's more on technicality. For example, Fizz. Why is Fizz untargetable when he is merely on top of his stick; the enemy can merely kick it down, take the stick, and jab him with it!!! Whereas Aatrox flies into the air, far from anyone's reach, yet when Vi charges the air under Aatrox, he is knocked back...
This just does not make any sense at all. Please, Riot. Fix this, make him untargetable when he is up in the air, and only make him targetable when he is on his way down; at least it makes sense! Think about it...
