@Riot, I need help/is there any way to get this passed along?
Incoming long text. I recently read that Reds don't normally visit the help & support section and upon looking through the Red Tracker section, I see Riot normally checks the Miscellaneous section from time to time. I apologize if this is the wrong place for this kind of discussion, but I am trying to talk to someone about this; preferably Lyte (@Lyte) or someone in the player behavior department that can pass this along.
The back story: So at the end of the season I was banned for negative attitude, unfortunately it fell right as the season ended. I probably deserved this and I realize now that I took the competitive grind through ranked a little to seriously. As the end of the season neared, I panicked like crazy because I was afraid of losing my ranked rewards over this (never had anything happen to me like this before) and I vowed to change my ways. Well I got my rewards and then a few days later they were taken away from me. I'm still shaken up over this incident and it has been a few weeks since this occurred. After talking to player support, they told me they cannot restore rewards. What I am asking is for Lyte or someone in the player behavior department to pass some info along at their meetings or to pitch the idea that if a player shows significant reform (changes for the better) that the rewards can be reinstated.
I want you guys to know that I took that suspension very seriously (a wake up call if you will); I changed my attitude, I have not raged even once, I encourage my team and help pick them up, I learned to use the mute button, I do my best to help the team succeed, and I am an overall positive player. Since my suspension ended, I can guarantee you that not once have I said anything bad or negative. You can confirm this by looking at my chat logs from any of my games after my suspension was over (I have played quite a bit since then). I believe I have changed and I plan on continuing this positive attitude from here on out. I wish so hard that I could take everything back. I'm not a bad person, and I want you guys to know that I deeply regret everything.
I recently played a ranked game and upon loading the game, my teammates asked me why I didn't have a diamond boarder like the rest of them. It is painful to have to live with my mistake every time I queue up for a game and it sucks being marked as a bad person. I'm not a bad person and I want people to know that I did change. It took my over 1000 ranked games this season to get my diamond and to have it removed has really tore me up. I really liked that Morgana skin too.
Sorry for straying off topic. Back to my question: Is it possible to maybe pass it along that if we show significant reform and become a positive player that we may be able to get our rewards back? A second chance if you will - a chance to show or reward positive change and reform. Lyte recently posted a comment about punishment, reform, and reward, and I think this falls right into that category. I have no way of contacting such people directly and every post I make gets ignored so I thought I would turn here. If Lyte or someone on the behavior team (at their next meeting) can talk about people like me who are truly sorry and are taking losing the rewards very seriously and regret all of their actions that maybe we can talk about such options such as restoring rewards for people who do reform.
Here is the article: http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/player-behavior/exploring-player-behavior-design-values
Under reform in the above article by Lyte, he states, "In our next blog post, we’ll focus on reform systems and why sometimes all players need is a harsh penalty that triggers introspection and shows them some behaviors are never okay in League." This wake-up-call has been such for me. It has shown me that being toxic and negative is not ok. All i'm asking for is a second chance; to show that I have reformed and that having my rewards taken away has truly opened my eyes. As such, I have changed and have been really good; I have not said a single bad or negative thing since my suspension ended.
To quote Lyte again, he stated in a reddit post, "we've been focused on reform." This game is a major part in my life, I have played every day for years now. It is and can be a competitive game and I know now that I took things a little too seriously this past season.
So if any Riot employee (Reds) or someone on the behavior team can pass my post along to Lyte or even talk about this at your meetings, I would greatly appreciate it. I know its a long shot but as I said, I'm still shaken up by this. Thanks for reading and if someone higher up does read this, please and thanks in advance.
