"Stealing" Pentakills isn't Bad
So, I was playing a normal game as Ryze, and I had a decently hefty amount of damage when I use my abilities in rapid succession. So, our allied Jinx player was chasing the enemy down middle lane, and she had recently achieved a quadrakill. So, the enemy Trundle was left, but I was thinking that our Jinx, despite her passive movement speed buff, could not reach the enemy Trundle in time as he dashed down middle lane. So, coming from behind Jinx, I used my Flash summoner spell to get closer to Trundle, and I spammed my abilities to lower him. However, I thought that I did not have enough magic damage to kill Trundle, and that Jinx could earn her pentakill rightfully. However, I killed Trundle, and I apparently "stole" a pentakill from Jinx.
Upon more in-depth examination, I have realized that "stealing" pentakills isn't as bad as it seems. However, there are certain circumstances in which pentakills can be wrongfully "stolen" in some ways, such as having the choice to kill or to not, and that the "stealer" kills the remaining enemy to purely annoy the ally who had recently received a quadrakill. Another example is that they put in chat something like "haha" or "sucks to suck." But I purely did it to secure an ace.
But in reality, I really think that "stealing" isn't stealing at all. Simply, it is securing an ace to win the game. It is extremely helpful to assist your team in winning the game. Do people care whether you get a million pentakills in the game, or do they care whether you win a game? You could have a 100/0 KD in your match history, but it ultimately comes down to "Victory" or "Defeat". In conclusion, I think that pentakills are meant to be stolen, and it is certainly fun to do so.
You're welcome, Allen.
