I was toxic literally 1 game, vs a troll/afk/rude daruis. it wasnt anything racist. it wasnt go kill yourself or anything on that level. it was low-meduim toxicity, and i got a 2 week* suspension. i can assure you that is the only game i was toxic, because that is the only evidence riot has been able to provide me. i made like 4 different tickets, all similar
I got banned for 2 weeks for the same thing, so I guess you're sorta lucky... sorta. Moral of the story: don't even talk. Riot can't police this game and people just use pregame to put you on tilt then ask the enemy team to report you afterwards. All it takes is one bad luck instance of that and you just got banned for being angry at being trolled or griefed. I've seen people posting logs of how they got punished for simply asking people to gank or play safe, and another instance of a guy getting punished when he didn't even say anything. It's mob rules on this game and the majority of players are raging jerks who will instantly devote as much time as it takes to grief you the second you do or say anything involving them.
If you talk to Riot about it, they will be unapologetic, they will never revert anything(not even your honors), and they will just leave the system broken and move on. They don't really care, and they never will until it actually starts damaging the player base, which is inevitable. If they want the game to be run by sociopathic spoiled children, than I guess they're moving in the right direction.
You can't get a "two game suspension". You might have gotten a two-game Ranked Restriction, meaning you have to win two Normal Draft matches before you can play Ranked again (and you'll have restricted chat until then).
Riot sends you the chat from one game; that doesn't mean it was the only one where you behaved unacceptably.

They don't suspend people for just one case of toxicity.

As for the one game thing, Riot admitted to me they banned me just for the one game. That would be fine, if they banned every single person who has one toxic game, but they don't.
Toxic - containing or being poisonous material especially when capable of causing death or serious debilitation; extremely harsh, malicious, or harmful
Drinking a toxic substance ONE TIME can lead to death. So, being toxic in ONE GAME can lead to a ban. How is this so hard for people to understand? When someone calls you names, turn the other cheek. Or better yet, and this'll drive them crazy, say thank you.
