False Reports

I'm a ranked player, but occasionally when i know i have a bad feeling about playing ranked. I'll go play blind pick. recently as i've been playing I've been typing in all chat telling jokes about vlad spreading the ebola virus or if zilean partakes in day-light savings. in my last game as teemo. we ended up winning, and during the game every time i died i told the enemy team i was going to give them a gold star because i was a first grade teacher (as a joke.) and at the post-game-lobby i was told by three of the enemy team that i was being reported for verbal abuse.

Side note: anytime someone told me to be quiet, i just politely asked them to mute me, because the mute button is there for a reason.

Will these reports go through? because more and more i see if anyone has a problem with anyone, they just report them for verbal abuse, even if it was nothing close to verbal abuse. (because lets be serious, verbal abuse is about the only report people take seriously.)

Sarcasm can either be used as an insult or to lighten the mood; it's often impossible to differentiate between its usage over text. You have to keep that in mind.

As for whether the report is valid or not, that depends on two things; whether the reporter uses/abuses reporting a lot (which will eventually make his reports not mean anything), and if the report is reviewed manually and deemed inappropriate or not.

I'm sure riots stance will be that they asked you to stop and you didn't so it constitutes verbal abuse. Pretty simple imo so yes, these will likely go through. Would I vote to ban? Probably not if it is all you say it is, but usually it tends not to be. You will be fine though as long as you don't get reported often.

This part really did not read that way. Sounds like they asked you in game there, but like I said you should be fine if this is not a regular occurrence. Just keep in mind that people (when losing) tend to have a lower threshold for what sets them off.

Just shut up and focus. People come here to play not to listen to jabber. When people are typing, they are not paying attention to the game.. and likely dying.

they never asked me to stop. If you look at the chat. i was never asked to stop once, the enemy team never even talked besides one player. it was post game where i got the rage and hatred of a 1000 men. and the comment i made to utilize the mute box was made.
