Every post I have seen about somebody trolling there is always a load of people defending the aforementioned troll. They will often say things like "If you are mad then he is a successful troll." Why is trolling this generally accepted occurrence in the current LoL community?
It's not okay to troll. It's just not okay to RESPOND to the troll either.
because we have a good amount of people here on the boards that revel in trolling, whether they are the ones trolling or not?
Also the overabundance of mouthbreathing neckbeards and 13 year olds. I'm fairly certain that has something to do with it.

Because is easier to blame the troll for a loss instead of acknowledging your faults. Therefor ppl will now encourage trolls to troll so they either win by pure luck or go home with "oh well our team had a troll"
Because people are realizing a troll is out their conTROL, just play accordingly sometimes when you leave the troll alone they silently carry your arse to victory because you paid more attention to playing than typing. Report if necessary
I am talking more along the line of people like Kaceytron and Nicktron.
Roit needs to make a option for in game kicks for a person who is truly trolling. AKA feeding on purpose, screaming none stop, letting everyone die, or telling the other team what your team is doing. The scare of a full team voting against a person to leave would make the "troll" be less likely to do so and make the game more fun for the whole team.
