With Kallista Being 2014s Last Champ, How Would You Rate 2014s Roster Additions?

I feel it's safe to assume Kallista will be the last champ we see in 2014. Although she hasn't been released, how would you rate this years new pool of champs?

Below is taken from lol wikia as reference: (Champ, Role, Release Date)

Velkoz Vel'Koz Mage 2014-02-27 Braum Braum Support Tank 2014-05-12 Gnar Gnar Fighter Marksman 2014-08-14 Azir Azir Mage Marksman 2014-09-16

Although less than last year (8 To 5), These new champs are imo higher quality champs with newer, more interesting mechanics. I'm a variety guy and although I feel 2014 lacked just that, with all of the updating to the rift and whatnot I'm ok with this.

Thoughts?

this year the champs were all about style and jumping around.

Pretty much agree with this; I like how Riot seems to be pushing their designs into interesting gameplay places, makes the game a bit less about a race for stats. I don't have much to go off of, but last year, with the exception of Lucian, each champion seemed to be overtuned upon release, where (except Braum, maybe Kalista) champs this year seem more balanced on release.

Vel'Koz was underwhelming in role/gameplay (another immobile mage), but he was played up enough to get attention. He's strong enough to be played, and he is an interesting character. Braum is the star of 2014, if you ask me. I don't play him, but he's an amazing support/tank. I'm glad that we have a tank that actually wants to tank for his team now. His lore (and attitude) is cheerful and happy, unlike so many of League's champions that have dark and sad backgrounds. Gnar is... Still shifty. His actual "lore" is garbage, and his promotional materials don't provide enough of a story. He's become a decent toplane bully and a great teamfighter. Azir is a bugfest that I would have made one of my most-played champions if he wasn't so buggy (and if his Q didn't force him to move forward + his W would make him move to place a soldier). He's too clunky and too glitchy for me to enjoy.

The best champion this year was definitely Braum. The whole feeling and design of the champion is just pure happiness and joy. The mustache takes the cake.

Also, the loading screen music is so good...

Braum

Velkoz is my dearest child and I will always love him no matter what. Braum is.. alright. He feels like a Taric rework set in Freljord. Gnar is cool. Idk he's just.. cool, nothing more. Azir is literally me so hey, I can't complain

It had great bits and good bits and OKish bits, but nothing overall was BAD so yeah I thought this year was good.

Vel'Koz was Medicore at best and a sad addition for the First champ of 2014, I loved him as a support but as a Mage. He just didn't add up to what he could have been. Even though he was one of my favorite additions he felt to bland for his role. I guess Character I love more.

Braum out of all the three eligible for LCS got the most use of the three and his role as a Tank Support brings more to the role than there was before, and for the majority for the meta it was Leona, Thresh, Blitz and Braum for the four supports most used at the beginning. He is awesome but in my opinion, I can't use him that much.

Gnar is fun to play as once and a while. He brings a cute and childish demeanor to the game that I wouldn't expect in any other way. As for a champ I found him lacking some ways but then again, it still is pretty good.

Azir I Have yet not played but from the Bugfest we call release week he was shite. Then again, I admire him for this. He did make a wave of crud then again I never played him but I guess he was good.

So, I guess in my opinion Vel is the best and Braum for me is the worst because of the klunkiness I felt when playing as him.
