Who here thinks Riot should partner with somebody and make an anime based on lore? I think this would be a great idea as league has about 67 million people that login each month. Who else here would watch it?

If the anime featured a good amount of romance and Ezreal's the protagonist, then yeah I'd probably watch it.

I dunno, go ask the fandom about that. But I might as well give you reasons why Lux X Ezreal is a good pairing:

Both magically gifted
Both prodigies at a young age
Lux is a caged, born-as-a-soldier girl (please don't kill me if this description triggers you) while Ezreal is a free-spirited explorer that wants to roam around the world, so their personalities judging from their social standing can mix well.
They look really darn cute together.
Gameplay wise, they both have an ultimate skin.

See, I personally don't think they go well together. Bit busy today so I can't rewrite it to tailor it to your points but I will paste the last paragraph I sent to AbsobantTNT when we had this discussion the other day.

Thing is, I don't care that it is a meme. My opinion wouldn't change one way or the other. They are a couple that I like to ship together because I think they compliment each other and make a beautiful couple.

Also there isn't any official lore stating that Lux and Ezreal are together. There are hints sure, but nothing official and Riot likes to hint at a lot of things. Hints do not make truths.

If it were official that would be one thing, but it is not. That means it is up to players to extrapolate relationships between champions as we lack a lot of info. I think Taric and Ezreal make a cute couple and that there are a lot of reasons they would get along and could definitely work.

Lux and Ezreal don't compliment each other imo. I could see them dating, but never going beyond that because they are quite different in a lot of ways with nothing connecting them. What are Lux and Ezreal supposed to talk about together? What common interests do they share? I just don't see it. It is like the popular guy and girl at highschool dating. Pretty likely to happen, not likely to last.

I can actually see Taric and Ezreal's relationship though. Ezreal tends to be quite brash and rushes into things headlong, however there are hints in the way he acts that show it is partially bravado. Taric on the other hand acknowledges his weaknesses and turns them into strengths. He willing puts himself into danger to protect things, even if it goes against the wishes of those who command him. That is who he is. I think he could see in Ezreal a lot of what he could have ended up like though. Taric very well could have covered up his weakness with an overbearing personality and turned to the opposite extreme to try and push away the side of him that cares about beauty.

I could very easily see Taric wanting to steer Ezreal away from the path he is headed down. To try and bring him comfort and show him that others love him to get him to accept the weaknesses inside of him. To make him feel comfortable enough with others that he can admit when he is scared or worried.

See? In just a couple of minutes I can pour out my feelings as to why I can see Taric and Ezreal being a couple. I don't ship Sona and Ahri just because they are "Sexy grills with big boobs" I actually care about relationships. If I can't see why champions would have a relationship with each other I don't ship them. Sure I may have been introduced through the meme, but that doesn't mean there aren't roots behind the meme that I saw and follow because I think there could be actual reason behind them.

For reference I try not to be serious about games. Look at my name, look at what I post. I do stupid shit because that is who I am. I try to be silly and have fun because I try to lead by example on how to enjoy games.

Ezreal and Taric is one of the few things in LoL I do take seriously. This is because I truly think it would work and Taric is a champion I have a vested interest in. Just because I talk about it through jokes does not mean I consider Taric X Ezreal a joke.

Sorry, I know I make a lot of points not relating to what you mentioned but this sums up my overall feelings on the topic pretty well. Just too busy right now to give your post the reply it deserves. My apologies.

It's pretty much fine. It's pretty much, "let ppl ship what they want." so you're entitled to your opinion about Ez and Taric while I'm entitled to my own and we have no reason to bicker about our ships at each other because we let the fandom decide until Riot decides to make one pairing canon over the other.

Tl; dr: It's cool bro. If you like that shipping that's good for you.
