I'm scared to play against real people

I'm scared to play against any real people. I have never played a normal game, sticking solely to co-op vs. AI. I don't know what to do because I really do want to be able to play against real people but I'm too scared everyone will hate me for it. Could anyone please give me some advice if that's okay?

It should be fine, If you're really scared, you could play with some friendly guy's smurf.

You'll be fine as long as you ignore all the people who will flame you for not being 9-0 god mode.

Everyone needs to learn and get guud so just DO IT http://cnet1.cbsistatic.com/hub/i/r/2015/06/04/0baaf113-8608-4bf6-9fc8-49120dbfa24a/resize/770x578/59d310b585dd609862dac3be9bd278bb/shialabeouf.jpg

Honestly, you shouldn't be scared, all they are is people behind a keyboard, they can't hurt you. Sure they will get angry or upset if you "feed", but you should be focusing on how to improve upon your own gameplay, don't worry about how anyone else sees you. If you're having fun, and you think you are improving at the game, that's all that matters. You eventually will grow immune to the people who flame you or verbally abuse you, you gradually get this immunity when you play the game more.

well it seems like you really need to work on your character in real life

well, depending on how much anxiety you have about it here are some suggestions.... hopefully this helps

1- use the team recruitment section of the boards to specifically search for people to play with.... let them know your skill lv, the fact that you are looking for nice, helpful, polite people to play with ( or whatever ) and add the people to your ingame friend list, or they will add you....

2- venture forth filled with fear and dread, but knowing that it IS a game, that it is a FUN game.... and focus on having fun... the fear and dread will fade

3- in your normal games in prechat, chat... a lot.... let them know you are new.... let them know you are inexperienced.... just, let them know you have some anxiety... you will find some people dodge, (success) some people might be mean, but most will be kinda and understanding.... and you have increased the pool of players that are less likely to be mean to u in chat, because you warned them all as a considerate person would... you showed respect, so they will show respect (or they dont deserve it)

4- use team builder.... it is more relaxed, people play the roles they want, with the champ they want, it is already less stress than the other normal modes

5- stick to bots.... if the anxiety is too much, go back to bots, normal games will still be there latter.... maybe on a different day, there is no rush... take ur time

well.... here are a few suggestions i think might help... im sure people will give you more, because not everyone is scary...

i mean... people are scary, they are mean, ignorant, shortsighted, so on.... but when we go deeper into an individual they are much more than any of that.... but we must put the effort from them being "scary people" to them being a person.... and that is all on ourselves

You'll never meet these people in real life, so who cares lol. Play what you want, just don't troll and you should be fine. Everybody has to learn at some point.

Would you feel better if I played with you? What camps do you like to play?
