Diamond smurf duos in low elo

Hey guys, i would like to know your thoughts on diamond smurfs carrying bronze players to gold for the rewards. I recently witnessed a bronze player stuck there for a while with around 30% win rate get to gold 4 now with over 60% win rate in just a little less than 3 weeks. It is not considered as elo boosting since they play on their acccount but for me it still feels like cheating their way up. Am i wrong for thinking that way?
