Casual Player Elo

I'm a pretty terrible player, but I wasn't always. That fact makes league pretty much hell, since whenever I play I can't be anything but a burden to my team. Which simply incites tremendous flaming from teammates. Even when I feel like playing league that feeling is quashed with one game of abuse in chat and on the scoreboard. This is unranked and I've thought about playing ranked simply because it would place me with other terrible players, but ranked games don't have the same appeal as unranked to me. I'm wondering if there could be a more frequent system of elo placement/an elo decay rate, so when you play very infrequently you aren't anymore of a burden to your teammates as they are to you.
