I can understand why Riot doesn't want to link champion mastery to chroma packs but i feel the champion mastery system needs more rewards like the champion being on my summoner profile. I always get kinda sad looking at my boring summoner profile picture.
GASP Maybe they could use the poro pictures they showcased about a month ago of each champ!!
Where did you read about them not wanting to do mastery linked to chroma packs? Literally every post I've read about Champ Mast, they've said they released it for RP first to gauge reactions, but would like to look into champmastery.
Anyway. I'd love a Nami or Bard summ icon/profile banner. Even if it's just their splash art.
Needs something like this
Master a champion, get an icon for that champion, I.E. Charming icon for mastering Ahri, maybe have other icons as well for lower levels of mastery
get a certain level for multiple champions in a specific role, I.E. multiple supports to level 1 gets the aide icon and multiple in level 3 gets the keeper icon
master a different champ in every role, get the "Jax of all trades" icon,
master every champion and get the Grandmaster icon
This could be confusing for end game lobby and also possibly the loading screen. They would probably have to redesign those first.
Personally I'd like to see a rank 6/7 released with rank 6 being a high amount of points to obtain (So you have to play the champ a lot in order to unlock it) and rank 7 being a lower amount of points but being losable (so you have to play consistently well, most likely B> to hold onto it)
Then give the champ portrait icon for rank 6 and allow use of a gold chroma for the classic skin as long as you maintain rank 7.
Getting level X does not mean mastery only time spent.
Your champion mastery icon (and also your ranked border, considering anyone can easily look it up on dozens of websites) should be able to be seen by the enemy team and same for the emote. It feels kinda unrewarding aside from the announcement.
I'd like to see it as reach certain level, get icon, reach level after that, get banner for profile when you have icon active
Yea, I think awarding a champion based Summoner Icon for a mastered champion would be a great idea, however, it would also have to be at the highest mastery level I believe. For now it's only level 5, but they stated it will most likely go higher at some point.

Honestly I would rather have chroma skins for champion mastery. Just my opinion of course.
Let me clarify I did not know they were going to link chroma packs to champion mastery. It would make more sense if they didn't because what's the point of buying skins if I could just get a higher champion mastery.
