If you are planning on removing Twisted Treeline, i'm done, Riot

"If we made Twisted Treeline today, it would be for our Rotating Game Mode Queue (RGMQ) – that's where we mix things up and give you fresh modes for a shorter amount of time. If the population for Ranked 3's stays healthy, we’ll maintain the same windows as Ranked 5s. If the queue times become too long and the matchups are difficult to balance for the number of players in the queue, we’ll have to make a decision on whether it’s best if we move into in the the RGMQ where it will get shorter, healthier periods of play."

I'm an avid 3v3 player. Twisted Treeline is my favourite map, and I feel deeply offended by your statements. If Twisted Treeline population is pretty low, support it. Give it more attention, instead of throwing it into Rotating Game Mode Queue. Create 3v3 events on Twitch, stream some Challenger games. DO SOMETHING, instead of going the easy (and asshole) way.

Seriously, Riot, if you remove TT from the regular queues, i'm done with this game. And I hope a lot of people will do the same.

To be fair, They have literally been updating items and balancing champions in TT for a couple patches now, as well as a rework to the altars next patch, and they did a big TT rework like a year ago (Which didn't attract anyone).

Yes, and it's easier to say "fuck you" to 3v3 players than giving it a little bit of attention and effort to raise its popularity.

I'm just disappointed by the fact that Riot has chosen to actually reduce their number of game modes when other MOBAs are trying to expand theirs. It's what was able to keep the game more interesting to me because even the same map had different ways you could play it thanks to the different game modes.

Dont worry, removing Twisted Treeline will unlock enough resources to make RGM queue full week long! Imagine how fun it is to have a full week nexus siege mode!

The problem with that is the majority of people don't want that. If they have to choose from adding new features to SR and TT, they have to choose SR. Because the playerbase receives the most benefit from putting work into the most played map.

3v3 is a small player base, but a dedicated one. Every time I play 3v3 the majority of players usually have a couple hundred wins. Getting rid of TT would be a big mistake. I doubt TT players would move to SR.

They have been giving it attention. It seems like every 3 patches there is a change to either aram or twisted treeline. Dont try and blame Riot for the community not playing the 3v3 map.

At least they gave you warning. Dominion got murdered, mutilated, and now has it's desecrated corpse paraded around once every month or so in the RGM queue.

We said the same exact thing when Dominion was removed. Riot didn't give two shits what we thought. They did what they wanted, and we got a nice little icon to show off exactly who among us got screwed over.

We knew TT might be next for a while now, since when Riot listed off the healthy gamemodes to compare with Dominion when it was getting removed, they mentioned SR, ARAM, and the upcoming RGM queue. Notice an absence there? Yeah. Do you have a preference for how the icon should look? I suggest a nice light blue theme, with a twisted tree in the middle.

I love Twisted Treeline and it's definitely my favorite map. I love its smaller and more intimate feel. Even though it's a much smaller map than SR, it still has a lot to do. Overall I like the feel of the map more. I think the size of the map leads to more action and more exciting games, and I generally feel that SR games are a little more boring. Plus, given the size of the map, I feel like I can get more done is a shorter amount of time.

I will say though that I think TT suffers from a lack of attention from both Riot and the players. On top of this, it also suffers from the abysmal new player experience this game has overall. I can't tell you how many games I've had to carry because new players have come into it, not knowing what it is at all, then getting smashed. I mean would you ever play the mode again if the first time you played it you went 0/12/4? Probably not.

If Riot did get rid of TT, I would seriously have to stop and think about my League of Legends future. However, it wouldn't be for the reason you might think. It wouldn't be the whole, "Fuck you Riot for taking away my favorite game mode, I'm done, you're not getting any more money from me." Instead it would be due to the boring factor. Having just one map to play on (disregarding ARAM), with no real variation, just seems like I would get bored fast, especially when I don't enjoy SR as much as TT. Now, I know there are the rotating game modes to spice it up a bit, but those have much more problems on their own that make them not fun to play.

Maybe if Riot added a little something to TT to attract more players, it might help. What if Riot added a mini monster, similar to rift harold or dragon? I know TT already has vilemaw, which is the TT version of baron, but this would add a lot to the map. Maybe too much though, I don't know.

The one thing that Riot could do to ease the removal of TT, would be to add a 3v3 option to SR. I actually would really like this idea, and I think it would make the map more fun for me (but I'm weird like that).

Yeah. The reason why these alternate maps don't have as much players as the Rift is the lack of focus on them.

Riot should really concentrate on making TT a healthy and full part of this game.

Twisted Treeline was the very first pvp game i actually played and that is what caught my attention towards league of legends. In twisted treeline, it isn't only about taking down turrets and destroying the enemy nexus but rather, controlling the alters to boost your team etc... I feel as if twisted treeline is much better than rift. If you disagree with me, then that is your opinion, but if Riot decides to eliminate TT, then count on me not playing your game anymore.

The Dominion playerbase sends its condolences.
