Riot Development website?

So, when was the last time that you heard of a new feature, or champion being implemented in the future by Riot themselves? nine times out of ten a 3rd party website will have updates or sneak peaks at new champions or items LONG before Riot announces them, or even before a Red post shows up. to be perfectly honest this is the reason why i don't use this website much at all, it's fairly useless. Why not have a in development page where we can see the new ideas and concepts that the Riot team is working on, or the ideas they are kicking around. If the goal is to be secretive then that has failed on all accounts as the information is wildly available to anyone who is willing to look hard enough. Why does Riot not take the initiative to put forth new information as it is being talked about, and put it in a format where it is easy for fans to access, instead of hording around for random red posts and the rumor mill.

Because communicating ideas effectively takes up a tremendous amount of time and effort that is better spent actually doing development. It's ok for third party sites to just give sneak peaks and updates to the users freely because it typically doesn't generate an expectation by the playerbase at large. Conversely, if Riot releases a sneak peak for a new champion that really resonates with players but ends up cancelling the champion due to complications then they end up having to deal with a lot of backlash that they wouldn't have dealt with had they just kept their mouths shut.
