A fear of PvP.

Okay, so I've seen a few of these threads in the forums, about people that are afraid to play PvP, because they think they're going to get yelled at, going to die constantly, and absolutely get chewed out for it. The thing is, I've played PvP matches, and this is EXACTLY what I got. I've always been matched up with silver division people who think I should know everything (im level 21 as of this post being released). So, this isnt really a "what should I do" post, because I know the answer: find a bunch of lads who won't judge me on my team. So, this is what I'm asking. I'd like ANYONE in the community, who isnt judgemental about someones skill to add me and play with me. Please, I cant stand to play PvP anymore, and I cant play bots either because bots are far too easy. Thank you for your time.

Toxicity toward new players has always really bothered me, since it almost never includes constructive advice. I am by no means a master at this game, but I'd be happy to help you improve your play and generally not be a jerk. I use Curse (as freeformline) for in-game speech, main support, and also have a low-level account that I keep around to teach new players without skewing matchmaking too bad. Send me a message if you'd like to add that account, otherwise feel free to add this one. I almost never solo queue, so I'd be happy to have another friendly person to put in my team!

Edit: I have a tendency to not add friends if I don't recognize their name, so try to let me know if you're adding me because of this post.

I honestly don't get why some people are so afraid of PVP. There is a mute button for a reason you know. If you don't play PvP against the lower tier jerks who get mad at your mistakes, then you will never get good at the game.

You need someone like good ol' Crett We've all felt what you're dealing with, and developing a pool of people you can trust not to be insufferable wads is a viable methodology

You can tell I'm good because I have fabulous taste in music.

Add me if you want.

We like to win, but not going to get raged at etc.

Sometimes, the only friend you need is that beautiful mute button on the scoreboard.

Seriously, if someone starts talking shit to you, don't ignore them, just mute them. Not seeing the chat explode with their rage goes a long way towards keeping your confidence up throughout the game, which will in turn have a huge impact on your performance.

If you have skype hit me up. My name is here on the comment. We'll play some games. I'm level 30, oodles of friends we'll have a great time. In the mean time. Try some customs. If you have enough friends or not. Jumping into custom games or finding one is usually a good way to find "loose" people who aren't playing to win or learn some of the fan-made game modes that people run in customs like Hide and Seek. Standards are a lot lower in custom matches and get you used to the pvp feel. Some people might even be willing to teach you some things. Have fun!

i had the exact same problem but somebody told me to do the following and it worked:

  1. Make sure you run on Windows because idk about mac
  2. search in MyPC for lol.launcher.admin.exe
  3. use that to start it up instead of the regualar desktop shortcut.

Good luck
