LoL and Dota 2

Hello,

I have played League of Legends for quite a while. I believe I stopped when I got to level 27. Then I saw Dota 2 on steam, and tried it out and it wasn't as amazing as people were describing it and I am confused on why people like it so much.

So anyways, my main question is LoL or Dota? Since I am posting this on LoL boards I'm sure people would say play this. But still. I hear so much about Dota where should I keep on playing and learn to like it? I played LoL and enjoyed it but is Dota really better?

League currently has the bigger playerbase which is why I invested my time into League, but DOTA2 is a pretty solid moba in and of itself. If you don't care about having the majority playerbase in your moba, DOTA2 is a good choice. I haven't really heard anything good or bad about Valve, but I know Riot has time and time again betrayed it's playerbase in various ways. They constantly make promises they don't keep and ruin things the community cares about.

League has more players League is more skill orientated (more skillshots) League pro meta is same as casual meta League is harsher to toxic players League champions are more balanced League items are more balanced League games are shorter League games have chance of a comeback
