Tired of Ranked Solo/Duo

I feel like I am a good player but I always get stuck with trolls when trying to do ranked. The system is flawed no one man can win in league you need a team. If they based rank on performance instead of team W/L, I believe that really great players would emerge. I really want a competitive 5's team so we can build strategy and work on being great players. If anyone is interested send me friend request. I know I am not the only one tired of playing with AFK/troll/feeders.

There are plenty of threads about this, but since this is a new one i'll just voice my opinion here...

I really like the fact that people have to come together against all odds to work as a team, because that's what really makes diamond 1 players more knowledgeable than bronze v players, their attitude.

However, I also consider myself a victim of countless "Top or feed" or the notorious autolockers, and those who even went out of the way to que up and then go afk as soon as the game starts.

I feel like the only way to really utilize the system as it stands is to prioritize selection for players who dont have any afk record with others who dont have afk's, as opposed to strictly mmr, and the current calculations. Also i'm all for having a strict "1 afk, or multiple reports and you cant que ranked for a week" ban or something along those lines.

At least with this method it would greatly reduce the chance of being qued with someone who is likely to commit these offenses, and at least give you the fair chance you deserve. hang in there bro, it's not called elo hell for nothting.

The downside to that method is for players who have computer issues, and most of them are found during the game, making the player unable to detect any beforehand. Furthermore, by placing such a person with TRUE AFKers, that person will then suffer even more, whether or not they fixed their issues. This then leads to a terrible day of League and a waste of time. Reports are also very abusive. You can have a negative KDA and say a few things, but the Tribunal cannot see the actual gameplay. Meaning unfair treatment if you actually did your best, win or lose. This especially applies to newcomers.

The one thing I wish for Tribunal is to have the ability to see the chat in Champion Select. I have come across trolls who admit to trolling in Champion Select, but then deny it later in game. They get a good KDA, but they play for their own selves and not help the team.

Agreed. I think the reports get abused in every game they are available in, but they are necessary. The KDA score is far more important to me than the win/loss. Like you said, if someone on your team is either trolling, feeding, or just causing problems for the team by not cooperating ultimately resulting in a loss, that should affect their elo and league points, not mine. Yes, more points for winning, duhh, but realistically, the current system is unfair at best. I can see getting no points for a loss, but to actually end up losing points because of some jerk who doesn't care or is too immature to understand we are relying on him is rather silly indeed.
