Is there a way to prevent LOL ads from opening in the browser?

I often close chrome from task manager to save the open pages. I have absolutely no interest in any of the ads they have on the interface :D i'm a very casual player and it's not a big deal but it's annoying accidently bumping one of their links and having to close 2 lol pages and re-exit chrome.

Is there a way to prevent LOL from accessing the browser? Or to disable the ads on the interface? I miss the way it used to be so long ago when most of the people were chill and the UI was't bloated with obnoxious stuff

Basically if there was a way to disable the links on the LOL client. The screencaps are generally annoying enough; "I don't want to be peers with those people..." but having most of the client dedicated to them is poor design; im dating a girl who is studying design and she would diss the crap out of it I know.

It seems like it'd be simple to have it open right to the summoner editing area, masteries/runes or something.

Another question; does the general userbase want it or even use it or is it just league staff trying to generate more traffic to their site? I suppose we're all powerless at the whims of a communist heirachy and their legion of ban-happy tribunal monkeys. To play is to subject ourselves so I have no point bitching about it :D when in rome

Well, first there is a setting in google chrome that makes it not open 2 tabs when using your browser, so it'll only open the link u accidentally pressed. But no, i don't believe there is a way to remove them from the client, you'll have to wait for the client update and see what that brings. I was hoping they'd bring back spectating of random matches that weren't CUSTOM BOT MATCHES.

Who the hell wants to spectate a bot match, let alone a custom bot match v.v bring back the features matches!

Ill look into the settings and lol :D i wish the bots were actually good. Itd be way harder to program a league "unbeatable chess computer" :( super smash brothers melee had serious bots that you could learn from but league ones are bushleague :(
