How does the function of "Loss Prevented" work?

Or better to say why doesn't it work? I've just lost my plat promo because of 3 of my team mates getting a dc, and just a single of my enemies experiencing the same thing. I got no loss prevented.

It has to be enabled by Riot, but mostly if there are only a few players lagging(by few players i mean the whole EUNE), they don't even bother.

Loss prevented is used if there are game-breaking bugs going on...not for the occasional DC.

Loss prevented is basically a "switch" that turns off ranked queues and saves people currently playing ranked games by giving them the loss prevented outcome.

They only turn it on if there's a significant number of players having a problem and if it's long lasting. Also, it takes time for them to detect it and then decide whether to react or not, so some games will simply be lost before they turn the loss prevention on.

It's unfortunate, but I'm sure you'll get in your promos again without problems.

Again in the game I am in AT THIS MOMENT I AM WRITTING THIS IN, 3 of my team mates and 2 of my enemies are getting malicious ping spikes with the messaged of attempting to recconect without getting back in to the game. Riot does not deserve what they have with all the problems we, their consumers, customers, expereience..
