After it I asked him how he was diamond and he told me "it's not about individual performance but how you work with the team, warding, objective and map control etc" and then it hit me how the hell is soloq a thing? A team game where you are graded on whether you win or lose, so technically speaking it doesn't matter how good you are it matters if your team is up to par. I know people defend the system by saying "you should carry" but honestly what kind of game is it or should I say where is the fun in a horrible chore such as that? Tl;Dr There needs to be changed in league and "skill levels"

imo solo Q isnt really something that works extremely well, imo the ranked system works best in ranked 5's and 3's where teams communicate and work as a team more

Until you realize this game is not about "1v1 me noob" but more about decisions making that helps your team win the game, you can stay in bronze right where you belong.

May I have a game with you? I found it ridiculous a diamond player could be losing to bronze 2. Either you don't play rank a lot so while you are ranked bronze 2 but you might have the skill of a diamond or your friend got boosted to diamond or he wasn't playing you seriously.

I'm but a diamond 5, the worst in diamonds. But when i played on my smurf, i got out of bronze in less than 2 weeks from the depth of bronze 4.

And no, it's not about individual plays, but the map awareness, the game sense and all that. However, those are all part of the skill of a player.

It's just like playing Basketball. You shoot high % threes and have awesome field goal but you can't set screens nor box out, how can you claim to be a good player?

Because being able to react to different circumstances and make the best of your resources is more important than mechanics.
