I've been in bronze five - three for years now. I went 8-2 in placements and got placed in bronze five. People online like to say they are better and there isn't elo hell, hurry up and carry! I just played a game where I was sona and I was with kalista, and I went 1-1 and my carry was 1-0. By cs we won lane. Gnar top lane was 0-4, Lux was 0-2 and jungle illaoi was 0-2.
When some of the better players started to play way back in the day, like beta or season one, they had much less of a population pool to deal with. Now there is an insane amount of people in bronze, and I might add, it is extremely toxic. For example, I played a game today where I was Janna, shielding kogmaw. He went 3-1 in lanening phase, and then said I wasn't good enough. As I've said on these boards, there was a renekton that wanted more life steal so he got three vampiric sceptors. I would make a new account and start over again, but I've unlocked so many rune pages, runes, and champions that I really don't want to. When I play carry top laners, and I win lane, usually other lanes don't. I remember one game I went 6-1 as Darius, but the rest of my team had like no kills, I was the carry. Well we were losing, I was doing dps up the ass in team fights, falling back waiting for cool downs, and apparently I sucked because I couldn't carry the game, when they aren't even positive.
Part of it is the fact that the players have no idea how to play. Part of it is they are really toxic, thinking they are better than everyone else and it is everyone else's fault, regardless of their performance. Part of it is they don't watch the LCS. I mean this specifically with junglers. People in bronze expect junglers to gank constantly, and there are some junglers that are better power farming. Or they don't think that some as basic, like ww, ganks way better at lvl 6. They never use teleports correctly. You can use them to get in lane, but not all the time. If there is a play bot, teleport to the ward! Teleport to the team fight at the dragon! etc..
It's gotten to the point that I play the game because I enjoy the game and have fun, and think it is a good game. I play ranked in the hopes I can get out of bronze, but I probably won't. I'm telling you, if you think I have got to be a shitty player, fine, but there is an elo hell. It's so so toxic, that literally the league community is the worst community I have ever been apart of.
