ping gone up by 100 ever since maintenance this morning

i usually get 100 ping stable. but a few hours ago it started to spike. I came back on after a break of about 4 hrs and my ping is at a stable 200. Im used to a delay and its not really lag or packet loss, just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if riot knows about it
