AFK reward ( not for the afk summoner)

I've only been playing league since Christmas 2012 and ever since I've started playing ranked, I have seen WAY too many AFK/trolls on a daily bases. For most people, like me, these AFK/trolls happen to be in every other 3 games we play. I love the reporting system and all, but I feel like it has no impact on the troll. My idea is giving a reward to the team that has a AFK or troll. And of course, the AFK or troll himself will not get the reward. The reward that I was thinking of, was a extra 50 or 100 IP depending if they win or lose. The way this would work is, if the team with the AFK or troll loses, they get 50 extra IP for trying. However, if they win, they get an extra 100 IP. Again, this bonus IP will NOT affect the troll himself. If anybody has any ideas for tweaking this idea, please comment and hopefully we can get this out.

Can't do it, would make people want to bully someone so they afk just before they win or lose for more ip, and would have to make it so that the premade with that person doesn't get it.. but riot wouldn't do that, they lowered ip gains so that people will buy rp more..

I like the idea of having a bot take over your character in the event of a disconnector or an afk. Like when you are inactive for a certain amount of time, and the buster says that you are disconnected, the bot should take over the character. In the event that the person merely disconnected due to internet troubles, you can assume control of your character again, but when you choose to within a certain time frame. This prevents the player from being thrown into the game in a random spot where death is imminent due to lack of awareness of surroundings. For instance, if the bot is in combat with an enemy champ, the person might have 5 minutes to reassume control of the character, so he/she can wait for an opportune moment to jump back in so they aren't killed when they take control because they are in the middle of a fight. But, if they are out of combat/combat with minions with the nearest champ x amount of units away, they have a reduced time of 1 minute.

Oh, how I love bouncing ideas off of one another.

Hey guys thanks for the feedback because honestly, I didn't expect this to be perfect the first time around, but I did expect ( or hoped ) that somebody would give advice or point out the flaws of my idea. I'm hoping that I can improve on this and think deeper on making suggestions for you guys.

Me and my older brother both have been playing for over a year and given we don't have much merit to what we say we've thought about an idea like this several times and what we came up with was mainly this:

If you have an AFKer on your team the system changes him into an intermediate (possibly make an even harder level bot) to play in his absence, of course with the same champ and items he had, and that also wouldn't sell any of his items but only build over them.

As for Trolls (that's assuming RIOT would be able to know who is and isn't a troll) I think RIOT should give a refund (assuming this is Ranked, if it's not ranked then you haven't lost anything that RIOT is able to give you back) to the other 4 players on the team which should be the same as an AFKer which is refunding any lost LP and demeritting the match if it was in your Series. As for if the score will affect your KDA I'm not so sure myself but I'd leave that part for the professionals assuming they even see this or take it into account.

Only flaw I can think of is that most trolls are defined by not following the meta (Riven Riven Support, Janna Janna Jungle, AD Katarina katarina top, and so on) but if say they could track your items and found you bought 100 wards the entire game, and 60 of them were in the last 5 min, deeming that person a troll, then yes it'd work great.

This is actually a pretty cool idea and I have been in games where it was only me and 1 or 2 other players playing but this being said the bot idea sounds iffy(not a real word) bots are too predictable.

i know it sounds harsh.. because i found it harsh when it was told me too. gain elo. lose trolls. as easy as it is. its true and you cant deny it

and please, STOP telling yourself you're in ''this elohell'' because you're always surrounded by trolls (i'm saying this in general, not to you in person). because the only reason you're in elo hell is because of you.

Definitely an interesting idea, but as everyone else has alluded too, going to be some problems no matter which way you look at it. I'm sure RIOT's team thinks about all kind of things involving this matter, but there there doesn't appear to be a sound solution. Especially with how many games actually occur, it's hard to have a universally acceptable decision for all cases.

A rather troll or fun idea would be to scrap the Tribunal, and go straight to a RIOT judge with a disciplinary committee or jury, and have the defendant of the afk/troll explain themselves, as well as a prosecutor from the allied team. Make a TV show out of it, and make millions. Riot needs to expand the EMPIRE!

TD;LR : RIOT NEEDS TO EXPAND THE EMPIRE !!

they need to put something in place for afk'ers. I work hard to get up for promotion. then an afk'er comes along that never even joins the game and makes it a 4v5 from the start. its not fair for people who work hard and never afk or anything like that end up paying the price for these scumbags.

I think Riot should just Ban the AFK person for longer, and Riot should also take IP and extra LP away from the AFKer.

Sincerely,

A JEW

Yeah but same time Extra IP can be abused so they can remake get 2 comps or have their friend make a new account and just abuse that system to hit level 30. I just say have a better system for judgement where if they afk for a good reason they will be dismissed. But if they afk because of trolling or multiple times there should be a banned of 30 days or something. Something pretty strict so the trolls won't do much of that.

As great as this idea sounds (because I have been there, and I know its not fun to have an afk player), one thing that would have to be taken into account is the possibility of lag that causes a player to be late. Because of my volitle internet connection, more than once have I been harrassed because my client crashes, not allowing me to join the already-started-game until about 5 minutes in, and multiple times I have lagged out of game, or it has crashed at the very end of the game, making it impossible to be honored (as afk people are shown on the after action screen), when I had already played the entire game, but unfortunate beam placements from the sky to my computer caused me to leave. This is an awesome idea, and believe me, I know its terrible when you have an AFK (or two :O). But I just think there may be too many variables that could throw this system off.

Just my thoughts.
