I have been stuck on what champion I should buy next. I really don't care much about competitive play, but I want a champion that fits my play style and that I can have fun with. I am an 
main, and my favorite roles are Mid, Jungle, and Support.

Have you tried Orianna mid? She's somewhat similar to Azir in the fact that her abilities are reliant on her ball instead of herself (like Azir is with soldiers).
Fiddlesticks jungle can be hilarious if you get good ultimates. It's just really fun to play the whole vision and ambushing game for the entire game, really fits his theme.
You might enjoy Lulu support. You have to use your abilities optimally and play a poke/spacing game when laning. Later in the game you can peel for your allies magnificently and help them chase people down.
I might be able to help more if you tell use more about your playstyle. I mostly just picked champions with some similarities to Azir in the different roles (except Fiddlesticks, cause he's just fun)

You can currently get him + dread knight skin for free from League's twitter. I have played 3 games as him and won lane every time.

He is really easy to learn and is a lot of fun once you get used to him. Late game takes multiple people to take you out and most of time when you run into someone 1v1 they flee. + his passive has a really nice health regen that increases sustainability
