WORLD ICON MASTERY EMOTES TEMPORARY

Let me start off by saying that worlds is by far one of the best times in the league of legends community and being able to support you favorite team with a summoner icon is great. However, there is a problem that I have with the mastery emotes.

Why are the mastery emotes temporary? I mean, first, you spend 250 rp for the icon (not a big deal), and then you log on every day to get some tokens so that you can upgrade these suckers to tier 2 and 3 icons. But, this is not the issue i have with this system. The major problem is that these are temporary emotes and recall animations that you get with the icons. First of all, the emotes are going to last a couple weeks at best before they go to waste, and secondly, it actually will take more work and effort to remove these emotes from the game! The emotes are already implemented, so why not just leave them. The fact that the emotes are temporary really leaves no extra benefit over the normal split icons as they look similar, so why should I spend 250 rp to get something that will go away in a couple weeks? I am also still baffled over why they would take them out as I’m sure most fans will want them after worlds, and taking the icons out will take more time. Leaving the icons in is really a win - win situation! Riot and the teams get more money as the icons will actually have temporary benefits over the normal split icons, fans will have the emotes that we like, and riot wont have to spend extra time to remove them!

tl;dr : Keep the teem emotes in because it takes more time to remove them and we want temporary emotes as fans.
