LoL is practically unplayable for ranked play due to the DC issues. Get into promos, back to back games where my team has 4 people.
Are the DotA servers any better, debating a game switch due to poor LoL servers. I think we should make the tournaments use the LoL servers instead of the LAN.
dota 2 servers are great, im not bashing lol but its no contest, dota 2 has east coast servers, and i get ping as low as 18 ms.
very rarely would i ever get lag on dota.
They have a little bit of lag when you first load into a game. And sometimes you get a little lag, but they are infinitely more stable than Riot's servers. Also, you can pick between US West and East, or both for free.
I don't ever experiencing any lag loading into games. Speaking of loading, the time from game search to your hero running around the screen is on average much much lower than compared to LoL.
I'm guessing to due to Dota2's native client most of the most of the common artifacts are already loaded. There is an increase in load time when you play random dm (where every hero needs to be loaded due to the nature of the mode)(every time you die you respawn as a new hero with the same items and same lvl)
