Why getting banned worked for me.

So, I was one of "those guys". I'd call you a noob, tell you all that you were doing wrong, explicit and all, and spam them pings. ... And then I got the ban hammer right upon my trolling little head.

This struck me real, real..... really deep.

Winning is not worth the enjoyment I get from playing the game at all. I would love to play on my main right now and lose every game! How did I change so suddenly though?

This is why I love Riot. This is why I loved getting banned. It made me realize that what I was doing was seriously not right. It wasn't helping anybody, and it sure as hell wasn't helping us win anyways. If anything, it was helping us lose.

I guess some people just need that whoopin' to understand what not being Toxic is all about. It's about being the opposite, no matter how delicious being toxic sounds while your adc is farming top while mid is getting pushed by 5 heads.

But being toxic will not make Mr. Lucian (this actually happened) want to come mid any more than he doesn't.

I asked him ever so nicely to come mid, and he did! Had I been toxic in nature, I woulda probably gotten a big finger, and no help.

Thanks for the ban Riot!!! <3

Yup! Just remember that you have actual opponents to worry about...no need to fight with your own team.

"It's the internet" is no excuse to be toxic it's no different than in person there's still a person on the other side of that monitor who's either gonna get pissed and ignore you even more so or may actually be hurt by what you say I'm not one but some are including some I know and I'm not perfect by any means I spew toxicity every once in a while myself and have to apologize a lot for it and hope it helps a small amount to make up for it values are values and you not being face to face with the person is no reason to drop them.

Exactly. Because you are the problem. That lucian was doing nothing wrong by making you lose the game.

Wtf is wrong with this company and community that it supports the people ruining games and punishes people that want to win....

I played like 2 normal games that whole week and received a ban.. I barely said anything in both of them. Now I will be unable to receive season rewards. R.I.P. diamond border.

Good for you man. Faith in community has been somewhat restored in me.

Well dude, that's great. It's the people that don't realize what they are doing, and flaming and blaming everyone that gets on other people's nerves. I applaud you sir, I really do, for changing and showing that not everyone has to be the same person.

im just curious, but did you get chat restricted at all before you got banned?

Rustling Bush11/5/2014, 7:52:39 PM2 votes

i'm not sure if your just being sarcastic or really really enthusiastic.

DrakoUnRama11/5/2014, 8:43:28 PM2 votes

if you want to think nothing but of yourself than you shouldn't be playing a team game that forces you to work together with 4 other people to win the match.....

Watch911/5/2014, 9:04:32 PM2 votes

Except, your one of the few people who actually significantly changed. Most people who have been banned just see this as Riot telling them to stop playing League and argue on forums that they didn't deserve the blah blah blah

DrakoUnRama11/5/2014, 9:22:29 PM2 votes

^ agreed and I'm sorry but a thicker skin imho is being able to take constructive criticism well not allowing yourself to be talked to like you're worthless and not care when you talk shit why do you think they would care to help win the game? It takes the same attitude you have about them taking your cursing to not care about the match and throw it just to spite you.

ps. you're wrong about that improving others winrates if all the bad players and people that make the occasional bad choice were to leave you may end up in their position yourself in the long run all games need players who are learning and even players who aren't that great but still play because they enjoy it or there would be no imaginary pedestal for others to put themselves on.

So you got your lesson learned it seems, good for you friend. However. if you are Permabanned? it's gone for good if just banned, eh you're fine. Just don't do anything reckless again.

Well ive been banned 4 times for two weeks.. the last time i got banned i simply did not type a thing to anyone in chat for a week and a half but simple things like group mid and drag...and got banned once again i think riot just hates me ... i honestly dont know what to do anymore i completely changed my attitude and didnt rage at all anymore but that didn't work this system is obviously set to ban me every ban cycle.
