Reasons this game isn't fun for new players

I just started playing this game consistently last summer. I entered ranked at S5 and fell into Bronze due to playing 9 consecutive games with at least 1 DC on my team. Its basically been a similar hell since. So this season started and after going 7-3 in my provisional matches I was placed in B5. Because that makes sense. I spent from the moment this season started until Late April just trying to escape the trolls in B5. Finally worked my way up to B3 this month and things had been going well. But the trolls must have let each other through now because they are back. Entering games with players who say "Give me this champ in this lane I carry" who proceed to feed the other team senseless or kids who "Oh they picked this champ? I can counter him I got this." and proceed to feed the other team senseless. Oh, and my favorite? "Jungle or feed" (Gets jungle) goes 0/4/0 to start the game. Like really if I knew you were gonna feed regardless I would have at least taken my preferred role. Also "Jungle omg where were you why arent you ganking top" Um how about because we are 4 minutes in and I'm literally ganking mid lane while you are saying this. Or "Jungle for real came top once" Um yes because mid is 0/2 bot is 0/6 and I can't babysit 3 lanes simultaneously.

I just played a game where my bot lane was a combined 0/37/4.

Lux after starting 0/6/0 gave up, blamed her adc, and started mindlessly running down mid lane over and over. Final score 0/17/2.

Vayne on the other hand wasn't intentionally feeding she was just THAT bad. She split pushed all game and took a total of 2 turrets (separate lanes) while maintaining the lowest gold earned besides Lux. Her final score was 0/20/2. Yes I said 0/20/2 and that wasn't intentional. She out-fed the person intentionally feeding!

Why is this game terrible for new players? Because it's pointless. I just got demoted back to B4 because my bot lane went a combined 0/37/4. That isn't fun. That isn't humorous. That isn't a game. You can give me the arguments that yes some guys duo'ed from Bronze to Master or whatever but they are pro players and actually had the chance to work together. I love this game but the fact that it is almost unplayable is ridiculous. Next argument: "Well if you report players like that then they will have consequences and won't be able to continue to play the game." Again it does nothing. You can't tell me that all these people are being reported and action being taken when one of them is in 2 out of 5 games.

Oh and I managed to be 7/8/8 in that game with fewest deaths on my team and most damage taken. I was Eve and built a GA 5th item as only tank item. So its not like I was just tanking damage and leaving. You can't tell me I didn't try hard enough or do enough or play good enough. By the way 7 kills was tied for most on team as well and 8 assists was the most on the team. Hell we only had 17 kills total so I had 88% Kill participation.

If you haven't had this game for enough years to have gotten into Gold before it became as big as it is then you are just trapped in an endless nightmare of people who literally make me lose faith in humanity. Like sometimes I just want to pretend that other players in this game aren't real people because the lack of basic intelligence and common sense is so astounding that humanity's future is seriously in trouble.

I needed to vent. But seriously this game is becoming unplayable. It's ridiculous.

Solution: Don't play ranked. Have fun in normal or team builder. I've only been playing for a little over a year, have yet to play a single ranked game.

Why? Simple. I read the boards, and I see nightmares like this that I'd prefer not to endure.

If this new ban system proves to work, or the tribunal comes back, I'll give them 2-3 weeks to weed out the terrible/toxic players, and then I'll try my first ranked game. Until then, I'm actually having fun, win or lose.

So I just took a look at your match history and the number of different champions you've played is absolutely insane (seriously like 25 different champions over 30 ranked games). If you narrow your roaster down to a few champions (with a few more for backup) then you'll be able to master those champions better and just get fed every game instead of doing average. Once you start getting fed, you're allies will "feed" less because they'll be able to leech off of some of your kills. You'll also be able to draw some jungle pressure off your allies if you are doing well.

Welcome to ELO Hell....because Riot doesn't really punish these trolls they make the game a horrible experience for anyone who actually wants to play better.

Yeah you can give me BS that I deserve to be in Bronze but then I joined a ranked team last night and played with Golds and Plats all night. We went 4-1 and I had 1 bad game that entire time. Which wasn't even the game we lost. I'm not saying I deserve to be like G1 or something. I'm just saying there is no way in hell I should be B4 right now.

You will get out if you start carrying but the current system is really broken. The real problem is that the best out 3 series to get out of each level is really based on luck. So many AFKs and people that are just messing around really ruin it. Then I play games where two diamond players are on my team (or the other team) playing for bronze kids who paid them to get to gold.

Rank should be based off of your elo score. You win, have good kda, got towers, dragon, baron, good cs, etc. you move up. You dont do those things you move down. Similar to the way they are giving us grades at the end of each game now. A good system would know when you played bad but you won the game and your elo/rank would go down. Halo 2s ranking system would work well for this.

there are 4 potential afk or terrible players on your team. there are 5 on the other team.

bad luck cant last forever. it is statistically inevitable that you will play against more bad players than you have bad teammates. if you don't belong in bronze you will get out.

I know that you want to believe that only 5% of it is your fault... but you're gonna meet a lot of players way better than you. So just rework your percentages a little bit =]

I win games despite trolls and afk's all the time... it is less common than the games i lose by it for sure. I also win games where the opponent has an afk or something.

I've noticed that a lot of the time the dc or afk is accidental or unforseen, due to poor connection or surprise family fueds xD but something I've noticed, is a lot of the time an AFK or DC is because of defeated morale. someone sees their team really behind and gives up. someone is angry or uppset, and it makes the game worse for another player, and one of them afk's or trolls or outright dc's.

what I do is, when someone on my team dc's and there isn't a fight going on in chat, well I try to play defensively and hope they reconnect, and usually they do.

if a fight is going on, or someone seems frustrated, well I try to encourage my teamates. I try to go help them in their lane even if it means getting behind in mine a little, because i don't get farm EXP or gold. I try to reach out to my teamates, assist them in their endeavers, or use chat to be like "xD that was unfortunate" or "NICE double kill too bad u died :( next time we'll get them better" even when no one seems frustrated yet.

and the thing that's helped me the most, is that no matter how frustrated I get at my teamates, I always remember to notice the things that I could have done better, before anything else. could that fight have changed if I went ham to try to save them? or maybe did my going ham at that time mean we had no one to defend drag?

it's unfortunate that sometimes we lose games that seem out of our control. but I try to keep a cool mind, mute them if I have to, find ways to overcome challenges, and take a break when I have to. it took me a while to start to rise, but now that I am rising I feel like I "see" things that I just couldn't see going on before. I notice opportunities and risks more than ever before, and can use this to make up for teammates who don't, even helping them sometimes without them knowing they were in danger in the first place.

I feel you... Took me a whole 1.5 yrs (due to my lack of time being able to play) to get out of bronze.... Silver isn't "Quite" as bad.. but it's still pretty abysmal...

This is why I just uninstalled League. WHY is the community in Bronze such garbage? Like yeah people will say just to play Normals and whatnot, and I do play ARAMs a lot but I'd like to get ranked. But oh well!

You say that only 15% of the time you had something to do with the loss? You can ALWAYS do something better. I don't blame you for having shit team mates because we all get them, but in order to get better you must think of how you could have played such situation better instead of blaming others
