Why do people get so mad at this game?

Most people are immature, both kids and adults. Mature people are rare, one of those people in your League game is even rarer. League is just a game, and while it is competitive, people can be competitive without raging and/or being a jerk. Relaxing and having fun is harder than winning the LCS apparently.

because no matter how bad it gets, you cant "ragequit" like in cod or battlefield, you can be stuck in it anywhere from 20-60 mins and if you are "done" 5 minutes in, you are in for a bad time

I never try to rage in chat, sometimes i can get incredibly salty but i only say things out loud in my own room instead of saying it in the chat so can get the anger away. But most of the time i try to stay as positive as possible in chat so the whole team can have a fun time.

Why do people get mad about anything? Impulse control.

Or lack thereof.

I'm sure some people tie their ability to play games to their value as a human being. Like "my only talent is video games. If I'm losing at video games, I'm useless as a person."

That would upset me too.

But maybe I'm just being critical of their fragile emotional state.
