Verbal Abuse Warning

I've only been playing League for a small time now, and I almost NEVER talk in the chat. I logged on today after not playing for about a week, and I received a warning saying I've been verbally abusive. I have never been verbally abusive within the chat, nor have I spoken in the chat in as long as I can remember. If anything, I will say something to my own teammate that is like "stop taking my farm please" or something of the sorts. I've never gotten a warning from anything before, nor do I know exactly WHY I got a warning. There needs to be more information, at the very least, as to why I got a warning.

It's not really an official warning. It's an automatic system that will send you a message after any time a player reports you, valid or not.

There needs to be a way that feedback can be given for false reports or something of that nature where someone actually has to go look at it. I believe you and it makes me wonder how many of the additional chat restrictions are falling perhaps not into the category but adding to the frustration for those that are trying to change.

The in-client warnings are totally automated and occur when there is a "spike" of reports against you - not after every single time you are reported.

Riot has an automated report weighting system, so if you go around spamming reports on everyone it eventually figures out not to listen to you. But it's not feasible for them to manually review the validity of every report before issuing a warning.
