I have been playing league for a little over 5 years now and that was enough time to gain every champion available in the pool. So I was wondering, just what use does Champion shards provide for people like me? Do you expect us to collect 3 champion shards and then wait for a new champion to be released? I don't understand you rito.

They've stated their intention to add an alternative use for blue essence and/or champion shards.

For now, I guess you just melt them down for whenever they release a new champion.
