Support for Virtual Reality (Oculus Rift)?

When preorders opened for Oculus Rift, I immediately ordered one. However afterwards I remembered that the game I play the most is League of Legends! So has there been any acknowledgements from Riot Games that they are working on it? Or even considering it?

I've seen some of the youtube videos with people using various workarounds to get it working, but none of that seems usable on a daily basis.

I'm thinking the only thing Riot Game needs to do is make the game aware of headtracking and use your character as the central focus point (still viewing in 3rd person at the same angle), but when you look to the sides it sort of turns the camera so you can look down a bit further into the lane. Naturally this means your computer will have to render a much larger space, but I don't see that being an issue for the VR ready computers.

Btw I did search the forums for Oculus Rift and such, but couldn't find much, so I decided to create a new thread. Sorry if I missed an existing thread with a similar question and thanks for any feedback. And PLEASE don't make this a thread about VR being crap! :-)

What? How would that even work?

To me, it just sounds like you made a bad purchase.

League will not support the OR, just thinking about how the oculus works should make that obvious. it's unlikely that you'll see anything other than 1st person games for it.

I think it's just a matter of time before they make LOL Oculus ready. I just saw the trailer for Airmech RTS and it works beautifully with VR. I think having a full scale view of the map would make lol incredibly fun, and it would provide that 3d feel to the characters that's already possible with the current engine. They just need to work out the control scheme. Forget about dominion and aram and the new maps. The future of gaming is with VR. And honestly, the other MOBA makes are probably looking into how it oculus could be integrated - whether it be from a spectator mode or player mode. I vote yes.
