2016 ranked season

Hey, I have two questions. Does anyone know when the 2016 ranked season will start? And, when it does how are we placed in a division?

Last season started on Jan. 21st, so probably something around then. Could be earlier depending on how fast Riot moves after the holiday break.

As for your placement, anyone who has ranked before will have their MMR. Could be higher, lower, or average for their current rank; you will play 10 placement matches and be put where your MMR ends up. Players new to Ranked have a fresh baseline MMR that's somewhere around mid-low Silver, so new players will actually often be placed better than a veteran that was in Bronze.

Ranked Season(s) usually start in January and end in November.
