who decides who is mmr boosting and whats the criteria? how did i just get slapped with a 2 week ban for signing in on a different computer?

They judge bans off of IP's that vary an extremely far distance but have log-ins of each within minutes/hours that are impossible by the same person.

Nice try though. I've signed into league in multiple places with no issues.

well sorry i go from my divorced parents houses in different cities that are two hours away from each other and play every few weeks. like get out of ur high and mighty pedestal. idc at all about this game. i play counter strike now and i only play when irl friends tell me to play.

point is. have u considered perhaps the system is just not flawless instead of me boosting an account i play maybe 4 times a month? but still. i can see the community is still immature and douchey. glad i quit this.

Generally, if you come into a group of people and make a rude and immature comment that sounds like you're trying to be a know-it-all without knowing what you're talking about... people will respond in kind. If you'd come in here in a rational state of mind and made a logical query about why you were flagged for boosting because all you did was play from multiple computers... people probably would've responded with something closer to 'if you feel you've been flagged incorrectly, try submitting a support ticket. No system is flawless and they might be able to do a second look at what flagged you'.

In stead, you came in here with the subject of 'apparently i'm not allowed to own 2 computers' and started making assumptions and arrogant sounding comments... and as a result, people sunk down to your level and replied with their own arrogance and immaturity.

I hope this is a lesson to you in your future dealings with people, because most communities will react the same way - online or in person - to someone coming in haughtily and making dismissive and inaccurate comments.

I constantly log on between 2 different places (Home and workplace) without issues, for over a year now.

Even if you play in two cities that are hours apart that won't get you banned. I have played games at my house and my mom's and never had a problem. They look for patterns (or the lack of) and judge based on that.

For example: if you are the only one using your account and you routinely play at each of your parents house you will have an established pattern and not receive a ban.

However, if your account is logged on in multiple places in a short timeframe where the distance is greater than could feasibly be traveled (you can determine rough location from ip) and/or your account is being logged multiple places erratically then it's suspicious and they will investigate.

Also, if your account is being logged by an IP address regularly associated with other accounts that aren't played at your normal IP then they know it is likely not you playing and will again investigate. It's all really easy to track and you shouldn't be surprised if you get a ban for account sharing or boosting. If you weren't you would have contacted support to resolve the issue instead of complaining on the forums.
