Leave Buster Message - What Can Be Changed?
EDIT :: I see making a ticket will be more beneficial here. It's odd that in the FAQ about leave buster it is under Low Priority Queue, so if I am instantly placed in this then there is a bigger concern. Thank you for your time but feel free to discuss.
I am guilty of typing incredibly long posts so I will keep this as condensed as possible. Concerns: Toxic attitudes Threats Overall rudeness of players
The biggest issue I see in every single game I play is that people don't have patience and they overall lack considerateness. Wordy, but to play with people who are not 'people' persons, or find it easy to lash out at others first before giving pointers or asking for help, says a lot about them.
Now, I am ALL about giving people a chance. It really comes down to communication. If there were more tips like in the loading screen to really stress how important it is to rally your team if you're getting stomped or suggest playing defense when things are bad for other lanes- it can be game changing.
What really grinds my gears is that, no matter how many games I play, this issue is constant. Yes, people who quit are an issue or people who AFK typically out of frustration can be a let down, but the attitude is what really needs to change about each game.
-Tribunal/Moderation System-
The fact that years ago when I was on this forum you were basically stoned if you mentioned someone else's name is a bit extreme. People NEED to be held accountable for their actions, whether good or bad, and it's neat to see the positive re-inforcement system finally being applied to League. But since we all use aliases here, it is odd to me that before I could not come onto this forum, post a video or image evidence to a situation as proof that someone was threatening someone else or myself, and for -me- to be accused of a 'witch hunt.' I hope those days are over, because I can tell nothing is being done so far to stop people from attacking others in-game.
The issue is when the Tribunal system first started, every player was given an alias for their alias. So 'MasterChief1' and 'SuperMario1' were labeled 'Player 1' and 'Player 2' respectively. This is odd to me since in-game you can always type the player's name out who you're addressing, and giving aliases for an alias leaves this open to exploitation. IE, I could say in-game, "SuperMario1 is the one threatening me and saying he raped my mother." When really it was 'MasterChief1,' but the players voting in Tribunal wouldn't know since everyone has an alias for an alias. Making sense now?
I find typing the username in the post-game lobby beneficial along with the champion used that way it is set in stone who committed what offense and who should be banned accordingly. I mean really, do we really need people getting soft 'warnings' after the 6th or 7th time they threatened someone else online? We need straight BANS, permanently, to this kind of thinking. But again, I'd rather there be more tips encouraging positive behavior in-game before a ban like this is sanctioned.
The origin of wanting to type a topic like this(again) is because I left my first game a few days ago. I have been playing League since close to its original release, so this should tell you how I feel about leaving games, especially in games like this where players can't join on-going games with openings due to somewhat having lagged out or quit.
I was in a ranked game playing my main, Morgana. Long story short as I tend to drag these things on, I was told multiple times by a teammate that I was a 'bad morg' and constantly bashed. My teammates were hopping on the bandwagon and bashing me as well. Need I say more? I left the game. So I'm the bad guy now? After hundreds of games not ever leaving, I get the Leave Buster message next time I boot up stating,
"Abandoning a match or being AFK results in an unfair game for your teammates, and is a punishable offense in League of Legends.
Do you agree not to leave any further games?
Type "I Agree" to continue."
Meanwhile, my teammates go on without a warning? Now, I'm not one to point fingers, but really? I was just taken aback, and normally it takes something like this for change to happen. If I hadn't quit my first game a few days ago to see this, I wouldn't think this concerns me, but to think there could be others out there that actually have played by the summoner's code for YEARS, and to make one choice due to the overwhelming toxicity this community has to not deal with it for one game, to see this? Really?
