Why should I lose LP and wait for dodging a game full of toxic players?

Let me introduce myself. I am a 15 year old boy and I have been playing League of Legends for quite a while (season 2). I joined a ranked game today and was instantly greeted with toxicity by two premades. Now, I know I could have handled this player better but I did not rage back but merely told him that I would report him. Riot has had this same system for as long as I remember and it is truly flawed beyond compare. This is due to multiple reasons including; I lose LP for dodging a game with not one but two toxic players. The second reason is that I have to wait 30 minutes (dodged earlier today as well). Also, these players will continue to do the same thing over and over again and people will dodge (not always) but there is no proof of them doing this because the Tribunal only shows in-game chat. Four, we cannot report these types of people unless we play a game with them. Five, Tribunal has been down for a while now. Here's part of the pre-game chat:

"Naming and shaming" isn't tolerated on the forums. You should remove their names from the post.

The penalty is so people don't abuse the feature. If you could dodge for free, people would never get a group. Figuratively. I mean you could, it's just take 10 minutes sort of like team builder when you don't have an ADC or a support.

If so, we should get the option to vote to dodge a game. So that if 3/5 people say yes, the game quits.

This is basically "votekick" and it raises its own set of problems.

From the Knowledge Base thread in the TBI forum:

“I think there should be a vote to kick available in pre-game.”

Sadly, something like this would be subject to far too much abuse and presents too many problems.

  • People could vote-kick players who refused to play a certain role or champion.
  • People could vote-kick players who did not agree to a pre-arranged tactic.
  • People could look up a player’s ranking, match history or experience with a champion and use that to decide whether or not that person was “worthy” of playing with them.
  • Time spent on a vote detracts from an already short amount of time to build a team.
  • Discussion of the vote, either before or after, would lead to bad feelings and toxicity.

Credit to Matthias9119: Heroes of Newerth had a vote-kick system, but removed it due to abuse.

Ultimately there has to be some "cost" (in the economics sense) to dodging a match or people will use it for bad reasons.

You can report players like this by opening a ticket with Support. Even if the game was dodged, the chat is logged. Hopefully there will be a better/more convenient way to report this type of abuse when Tribunal comes back, as "it doesn't show pre/post-game" was probably the most common complaint about the old one.

Sorry to tell you this but you're wrong. I was higher pick than them. I said no because I was expecting an apology from the person for being rude. Please, try not to assume that I went in 'picking' a fight when you don't know any of the details.

its your fault we do not know enough. If you are going take the time to make a thread do it right. Or please do not bother. did you assume cause you made a vague post everyone would be on your side?
