A Bronze Player's Rant

OK so last season I was Bronze 4, lost like all my provisions and got placed in Bronze 3 from the start. I was complete TRASH when I started but I have improved greatly. This year I went through all my provisions and did well, I didn't feed, generally went positive or tank-negative (meaning I was playing a low damage tank and initiating fights so not a lot of kills). This year I won 6 and lost 4 and STILL got Bronze 5! So your telling me i could have strait up fed and trolled all my provisional and still gotten to the same place? Don't you think that system is messed up? I know, I know, you people are going to go through every match I've every played and tell me how bad I am, but even if you feel that way just pretend like you think i'm decent (which I think I am) I main jungle and go cc tanks most often (which i feel too few people do) and so I admit I don't carry every game, but that shouldn't mean I'm bad and deserve to be Bronze 5. It just feels like Riot is punishing me for my past, I am good now but if you have ever been in Bronze you know you can't carry every game and still loose every match to bad teammates. I don't care who you are you can't 1v5. I get Riot wanted everyone to start over and such but seriously?! Couldn't you bump up the low Bronze players last season just a bit? There honestly seems to be no incentive for members of Bronze NOT to troll.... I mean their going to loose like half their games anyway and stay right where they are. There has to be a way to improve the system! How about merit based system? The more kills, tower take downs, and other things should factor into your LP loss/gain more.

I feel like I will just receive a bunch of people telling me to shut up and stop complaining so go ahead. I've decided I am just going to level an alt account to level 30 and try my luck then. I fought all last season through Bronze and I'm not doing it again. Anyway if you read it all, thanks, I'm just disappointed and wanted to post something about it!

if it makes you feel any better, bronze 5 is a lot better than last seasons bronze 5. the ranked ques got reset hard. most challengers ended up in gold. you would be lucky if you weren't set back 2 divisions at least. just wait until this heavy bronze traffic clears up.

Everyone dropped dramatically this year at provisionals. Some people dropped 2-3 full tiers(I heard one Diamond dude say he ended up in Silver).

It sucks, but just power through it and play as best as you can and you'll climb back up if you belong higher.

It took me 4 games to hit my B5 promos. Come on man. It takes 3 seconds to get out. You will be at your actual level before you can manage to level an account to 30.

Actually if you went 0-10 you would have had B5 MMR. If you went 6-4 you probably have B3 MMR which means that if you win more games than you lose you should be able to climb out of Bronze because you'll gain significantly more LP than you lose.

I know, I know, you people are going to go through every match I've every played and tell me how bad I am, but even if you feel that way just pretend like you think i'm decent (which I think I am)

Honestly I would have offered to duo with you didn't die so much. If you want to get out of Bronze seriously just stop dying so much. You're a tank, you got mad CC, you're in the jungle for half of the game, also vision OP if you're playing a CC tank in Bronze I would have told you to pick up a sightstone but with those new trinket changes, upgrade your trinket early and buy a pink. Find a duo partner who plays a role you're not good at and the two of you can just ride out of bronze.

Just climb, bro.

I landed in S3 last season and B4 this season. No bigee. At 81 LP after 4 games.

I would have to say I agree with this rant, there should be more individual factors that affect your LP gains and losses. Especially in the single and duo ques where you have less of an opportunity to work on team play

i wish my play style wasn't so team oriented if i had a more solo que orientation on play style i would be doing so much better

That's the truth of it. Tank-supports are pretty uncommon even in higher ELO's where you can more often rely on your teammates. You're playing a set-up guy for a lot of players who probably aren't worth setting up. If you want an easy way out of bronze, jungle Yi. No joke. Yi is brainlessly easy, can trade kills and still end up terrifying, and can clean up a barely lost teamfight 1v5 or backdoor with ease. He's the scrub player's way to silver since no one knows how to deal with him in bronze. Akali and Katarina to a lesser extent too, but they don't backdoor as well and I hear Kat is getting nerfed soon.

In short... pick a champ who can carry and stop relying in your teammates to do well. It's bronze. They won't.
