Hey Rioters and all others. It's with a heavy heart I write this post, but I'd like to reach out.
My girlfriend passed last night, and although she wasn't a huge fanatic about league, she loved Annie, and she loved poros.
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to either chat or to play Annie in memory of my beloved Cayce.
Please do not leave insensitive or mean comments in this thread.

I know I personally play video games (not league, but like pokemon) to take my mind off stuff. It may just be a distraction for him.

I've actually been in an extremely similar scenario with a lost relative and back then I played LoL to escape too. I can't say I know how you feel, but I know what it's like :(

This. My dad died about a year ago and i was incredibly close to him. I invited friends over to play video games with all night so i wouldn't be isolated with nothing else to think about, then played games the next morning until family started to arrive.
OP: add me if you want, maybe we can get a game of One for All going with Annie if that sounds good.

Edit: After looking at some of the comments about why OP played LoL afterwards, I will give my contribution, in assistance of OP. When my Grandad died, I was completely distraught. He was the only voice of reason in my family that mattered, and for that, I missed him to a great extent. After I had mourned him for as long as I could remember, the very next day of his death, I had played LoL to get my mind off of things. Even players that I was chatting with in the matches I played were supporting me, including the enemy team. So, for anyone out there who doesn't know what to do when they have lost someone close to them, try and take your mind off of it, remember your beloved at a happier time.

She really loved her character as a whole. Honestly, I think it was because she was a small child. However, she enjoyed playing her because she was simple to do play. She loved that Tibbers and Annie always shared themes. I don't really know why she loved Annie so much, in all honesty. I believe it was because she was a rather innocent character in a violent game.
Her hair was dyed pink before she passed, although she had dyed it many other colors, a few being reds, blues and yellows.
Cayce was very kind and caring of everyone she met. If there was a problem, she would make sure the person got help finding the solution. She genuinely cared about anything you had to say. She loved being a helpful person with every fiber of her being. She was fun and spontaneous, with just a tinge of seriousness, and it made her unique and perfect.

Hopefully it is just because no one has noticed it yet. Someone that works for Riot post here and play a Annie game for the op. Pretty simple request, that could be easily honored.
I don't necessarily think it's shameful. Threads sometimes go unnoticed. And her name is also the name of a ship within the game, apparently, and from what I've seen, Riot employees tend to steer away from ship threads.
People have lives outside my own, and I don't expect much from others, besides them being understanding.

Cayce died due to a respiratory infection, along with an asthma attack. She passed out then died shortly after.
Just because reasons are not explained doesn't mean it didn't happen.

TrevPlaysPoorly1 votesI feel like I should actually add a bit of an update post, because I now fully know what happened, and I neglected this thread because, to be frank I forgot it existed.
Cayce passed away due to a pulmonary embolism. (Link is to her obituary before people call me a liar again.) She passed at around 6:30~ pm October 16, 2015, during a conversation we were having on telegram.
I've made a lot of progress coming back from all of this, and so has her family. It's been one hell of a rollercoaster and there hasn't been a day that I haven't missed her.
