Restrict Ranked

I feel ranked is being ruined, as do most people in lower divisions, its not even the fact that there is smurfs all around becuase of the end of the season, but rather people that just throw their hands up and say "im done" when the game looks bleek, we've all seen it, weather on our side or the enemy. Its not fun to play 4v5 or even win a 5v4, (there are the occasions where you do win the 4v5 extreamly early becuase of snowballing. but thats another issue all its own)

What can we do to these people? the tribunal will get them... eventually... if their behaviour dosnt let up. but that generally takes hundreds of games to happen.

What im proposing is a 2 streak policy, only implemented in ranked, for these unsavory types.

Inentional feeding. (yellow build . 0/10. not communicating with the team. you can tell what INTENTIONAL FEEDING is, vs someone having a bad game, from the logs of both teams.

Extreamly toxic people those that you read in the tribunal and wonder if they only grew up on a ship, have no hope for a win if there is one death on your team. flame over nothing. ect.

Unsportsman like players, (not friendly taunting. not GG2EZ, ect, just those that whine and cry and b!tch about everything happeneing and only grant the enemy "that was all luck your still garbage

2 strikes. and ranked is restricted for the remainder of the season, being much more dilligent over the tribunal reports given by the players.

So are you suggesting if someone gets punished by the tribunal 2 times they then get banned from ranked queue?

hmm that seems interesting, maybe they would then have to avoid getting punished again in order to be able to play rank at some point in time.

But the thing is,what if these type of players don't play rank at all? Say they get punished twice by tribunal but they only play Norms/Customs and no ranked. It wouldn't effect them in any way.

If they were to add this sort of feature then Riot would probably have to implement some sort of Ranked only tribunal getting reports only from ranked games and the like.

So interesting idea, but I don't think it would be as simple and straightforward to get done.

This would only be implemented and enforced in ranked solo/que, so 4man premades can abuse in customs/normals. this would be made in an attempt to not only help straigten out players faster. but clear out those that refuse to work with teams to secure victorys.

people will just smurf it up. not sure this is a good solution to the problem. seems a bit draconian in some way. i'm not opposed to instituting something like this. but i think the threshold level for ranked bronze should be higher. too many newb's are coming into ranked as soon as they hit the current thresholds and getting owned. that said, i'm not in bronze.

i think there are better solutions to this problem and that efforts such as team builder will do a good amount to correct a lot of the issues currently in the champ select system. i'm taking a wait and see approach for the time being until riot rolls out this system and then see how they apply things to draft in ranked

teambuilder is having its own que, if it was for ranked i would be 100Xs happier next season

i know. but riot's game plan for all of this appears to be fix the problem at the root as best as possible and in the right manner, with room for expansion and modification. rather than to fix them adhoc as they had been doing. balancing is different. but with fundamental flaws like the one you're describing, they're not going to be quick fixes. because each of the fixes in and of itself have other inherent problems. i don't expect riot to do a lot of fixing of the ranked play. i could be wrong, but i don't think that i am.
