Banned for 2 weeks because of one offence?

I was wondering why I got banned for 2 full weeks right before the summer vacation due to minor toxicity for 1 game. I have never gotten reported, banned, had chat restrictions, or even received 20 minute low priority queue. However, one game I was on edge and got extremely mad at my team who decided "trolling" was fun in one of my promo games. So I happened to be slightly toxic(For the first time) in ranked. So, being toxic in one game resulted in me being banned for 14 days. I just couldn't cope with the stress on ONE day. We're all humans and anger is to be expected. So I was wondering if this was even possible and why it is. Shouldn't there be a warning? To be honest I think it is ridiculous. I would understand being chat banned, but being kicked out of the game for 2 weeks is a little much, right?

MORE INFORMATION As humans, we all have bad days, so sometimes we get a little grumpy and talk some shit. Completely unaware that it could lead to a 14 day suspension of your account. No toxicity, chat restrictions, or any disciplinary action prior to this "incident". That in my opinion is ridiculous. Jumping the gun after one game is silly. Not even giving them any chance to rehabilitate with chat restrictions, instead completely revoking access to their account, not letting them play League of Legends for 14 days ( which in some cases can be counter-productive). The incomprehensible part is, how there wasn't a warning regarding the ban, not giving them a second chance. Summer break just started, and to start off summer break is a 2 week suspended account. For one game of being a tad too toxic, me, one who has never had any disciplinary consequences, had one bad game, instant 2 week ban. The ban should be reversed, because I'm not toxic, I know many more who are way more toxic than me, ( they received chat restrictions aka warning ) but never a 2 week ban. IT WAS ONE GAME OF BEING TOXIC, WHICH IS LIKELY NEVER TO HAPPEN AGAIN. I get punished for 2 weeks, unable to play the game I cherish and love.

If you've been banned then you should have been sent a reform card in your email that contains chat logs that contain some examples of the kind of behavior that got you banned. If you have it then please feel free to post the link here so we can see for ourselves if the ban was justified or not.

This type of behavior is unacceptable in this community. When there is nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. As a community, we also don't believe that retaliation is an appropriate response, so in cases where there is retaliation, both players receive penalties. This is the only warning this account will receive. Further examples of toxic behavior can result in permanent closure of your account.

I understand, this is unacceptable. I would never speak like this again. YET, this is my first offence. I can't believe I got banned 14 days for this. I deserve punishment. Possibly a couple chat bans. BUT NOT 14 days worth of gaming. Also my actions are the results of a trolling leona. She would purposefully do stuff that hurt the team as a whole. This game was a promo game, and was important to me. That is the reason why I kind of broke and began being toxic. I am sorry for making a mistake, but i dont think i deserve this drastic of a punishment. Also some of the flagged chat WAS NOT EVEN BAD. For example "want to 1 v 1" or "GJ" or "My b". Please consider this. I deserve a small punishment and not a ban for 2 weeks.

Doesn't it now send you a "Reform Card" that shows the chat you were banned/restricted for? I think you should A) share it here, and B) if the community consensus is that it was unfair, send in a report ticket to have your case reviewed.

As I understand, this banwave was based on a manual audit of account logs. If you haven't been punished before, my guess is that you've been skating just under the report threshhold for quite awhile. I assume you received chat logs in the ban email, so if you post them, we can make suggestions on what may have gotten you banned.
