Why i do i get punished for leaving a que when others were being trolls?

Was just in a que with someone who was already verbally abusing people so I dodged the que so I don't have to put up with that. I know I would get punished but I just think its bull.

Why do I get punished for picking up money off the street, the other guy robbed the bank?

Why do I get punished for murder? I just bought the shovel to bury the body?

TL;DR Two wrongs don't make a right.

basically to discourage dodging. But the really need an option to report pre-game and have like and early surrender vote thing where if people agree, the game will disband rther than starting.

It could be like, type /disband "1 Summoner has agreed to disband the lobby, type /yes or /no" "2 - 1 Summoners have agreed to disband lobby" "4 - 1 Summoners have agreed to disband lobby" Done. And with the early report, they can look at the lobby chat to see what's going on. Sure, duo trolls would suck, but those are rare, so it wouldn't happen very often.

Its the principle of the matter! like Arliden said two wrongs dont make a right. Is it wrong this person is verbally abusive? of course. But what action can you take with disbanding the game? This will just leave the abuser to continue what he does because the way the system works leaves you to be the bad person because you chose to leave! I mean while you havent given us the full story (eg why he was raging during champ select) you dont know the outcome of actually playing. If he was only being verbal you could have just muted him in game and leave it at that. The game could have gone how it went and in the end you (and im sure the rest of the team) would have reported him!

Dont get me wrong. Raging in the champ select is a problem and there are better ways we could deal with it along with Riot implementing something to help us. But we dont have that yet, so we have to work with what we have! Leaving wont get this person ban, and more than likely will just encourage him to do it more because he wont get into trouble because we cannot report him for it!

Something something obvious answer. I already dodge a ton myself and if there was no/less penalty id just dodge more.

"because it will get abused" Its funny how they keep saying that, like trolls in que aren't abusing system. Its so BS.

Riot doesn't have a way to monitor these things on the fly, so unfortunately it's necessary. Though it'd be great if there was a reason for queue dodge after dodging queue to fill out. Then riot could check chat logs if it happens enough hand stop the toxic.
