Downloading League on Mac Good Idea or Nah?

Hi, I was wondering, just as the title says, whether downloading league on my macbook pro is a wise decision or not. I feel like league might destroy the system, maybe stunt the battery life or cause other unforeseen damages. I've witnessed a few laptops be turned into bricks because of league and the amount of stress it weighs on a regular laptop. Please voice your opinions, thank you.

I play on my Mac all the time with very few problems. On occasion though, my laptop does heat up quite a bit and will get the fan going, but it's never so bad as to cause problems.

I don't know anything about your MacBook -- specs, age, OSX Version -- But I do know that while the mac client has occasional crashy issues just like with the windows, it runs perfectly fine and causes no issues with my 7-year-old (no, that is not a typo), 128mb VRAM GPU iMac all-in-one desktop while running on lowest possible quality with 30-60fps. EDIT: And I can still make plays.

Don't hate me cause I'm poor.

No issues with my computer at all except heat during extended playing hours, but thats to be expected. I don't know if theres a big difference in durability with 7-year-old desktops or newer laptops, but I doubt you'll fare worse than me.

It depends on which Mac you have. I had a Macbook Air, when I try to play League the client crashed every 5-7 minutes. It was brand new from the Apple store too. The only thing I had on it was League.

Does league ever mess up your computers permanently in subtle ways? I felt that league was the cause of the two deaths of my former laptops when the computer started running slower and slower. I'm sure a 3 month new computer couldn't be that bad, it had decent specs though definitely not a gaming-based computer.
